Amazing Advertisers || Janaury 2013

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

This post always comes round so fast and is always a pleasure to write. This month in particular I shall enjoy it because I have spent a significant amount of time using my little sidebar library of great blogs. We have, like most of the UK, experienced heavy snow and after an initial gritty determination to go out (and finding that pushing a pram on ice is pretty torturous), I have been indoors and lacking in the motivation to do anything too physical.

59566_447397711992246_1941086519_n_large
(I don't even know what snowy little creature this is but it would have been a crime not to have him as our image today!)

So let's meet the ladies of the sidebar and see what they're all about.

Two words for you: Arm. Candy. I challenge you to not find something you like on this cute, clear, well organised web store. With a variety of colours, styles and metals, there is something to suit everyone's taste and with spring and short sleeves just around the snowy corner, I need to stock up!!

If you are familiar with any of my YouTube videos or posts from last year, you will know I am a huge fan of this shop. It is a treasure trove of cute home wares and gifts and I find myself trawling through it for hours. You can pay by paypal which is a huge plus for me and shipping is speedy. You'll like it.

You know those blogs that have a little bit of everything to tickle your pickle? Well The High Tea Cast is one of them. I absolutely loved the Love Letter to YouTube because I think it's something we can all relate to, agree with and laugh about. Go and see which points you find yourself nodding along to!

Paige is a little sweetheart who blogs about her experiences with beauty tools and products. Recently Paige has treated herself to a Beiber perfume (although she'd like you all to know, she isn't a fangirl!) and shares her opinions on a Babyliss styler. Also, Paige has a giveaway running so if you're interested in that, hop on over.

Bows, Bangles & Bakes was a blog I raved about on twitter this week. I felt thoroughly pepped up by Jen's extensive list of ways to beat the January blues without spending your hard earned mula. She made me want to get up and get going with fun! This blog is also full of OOTD's, tips, projects and lifestyle posts. I love it.

I have quite a confession to make. When I saw that Sofia had booked to advertise on my blog, I had a miniature fan girl  moment of excitement. I frickin' LOVE this blog. The photography is a visual feast, the writing beautiful, the content full of interest, I just love, love, love, LOVE it!! Stop reading this blog write now and click on her link. Be warned, you about to lose about 3 hours of your life!!

Smoke & Mirrors

According to, well, the internet, this blog no longer exists. Maybe this is true or maybe it's all just smoke and mirrors. Haha, see what I did there?

Stacie is an inspiration. Despite waiting for a heart and lung transplant, he blog is never full of self pity or begrudingness (new word there). On top of all that, this month she has had a chest infection AND the norovirus- what are the odds? The good news though is that her sister is engaged and that Stacie has been working on some super cool photo album projects. I love reading about her life. :)

Emily blogs about beauty, fashion and lifestyle. Recently Emily has shared with us what Father Christmas bought her and her thoughts on Jimmy Choo Flash perfume. Her reviews are easy to read and informative. Emily is also a keen tweeter.

This is a blog I was talking to my friend Claire about on Friday night. I was telling her that I love how each article is akin to something you might read in an expensive glossy magazine and how all the little posts are so well written and thought provoking. The layout of the blog is rare and inviting so I'd advice you go and spend a bit of time ferreting around. Yeah, ferreting.

Sarah is a girl after my own heart- a glitter obsessive! Her beauty blog is packed full of fair reviews (she recently had a terrible experience with a Soap and Glory peel), tips and tricks. Sarah also includes plenty of photos to give you a good view of the products and injects her humour into every post.

You know the blog you turn to when you need a little pick me up, a bit of an internet snuggle if you will? Well this is my that. I feel really invested in Rachael's life and love hearing about her day to day adventures. The way she talks about her boyfriend is just adorable, you can see a lot of love there. This blog is a truly, truly lovely slice of the web. Grab a hot drink and read your way through it.

So there we have this months Amazing Advertisers. If you would like to advertise on Sprinkle of Glitter, you can click HERE to learn more about it.

Have you found any new reads this month? Also, don't forget, there are only 5 days left to take part in January's Bedroom Beauty Challenge. Are you in?

Toodlepip!

Advertiser Fail, Anniversary Win!

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

Uh oh and huzzah!!!

Good news first? OK.

This week is my two year wedding anniversary. Can you believe how fast time flies? I thought we would do something special on the actual day, maybe swap cards and have a nice dinner together, but oohhh nooo, Matt has come up trumps!

I have been told that at 4pm a babysitter is coming over, I am to go upstairs, languish in the bath, paint my nails, fiddle about with my hair, play with makeup, read a magazine and reeelllllaaaaaxxxxx. Then, I'm being taken out for a mystery evening!!! Can I have a 'oooooohhhhhh'?

This leads on to the bad news. Oh dear.

Tonight is ad change over night. With me being romanced (woop woop) it would be a little awkward to take my laptop out with us, so I'm putting the month back one day and the ads will be swapped over tomorrow instead. Nobody will be swizzed, I'll just run them til the 3rd of October instead of the 2nd.

I thought I should let you know in case either you were waiting to see who would appear in the sidebar to add to your reading lists OR you had parted with your hard earned pennies and thought I had run off into the sunset with them.

I like Sprinkle of Glitter to be an honest and transparent place, so instead of just sending a little email to all the Amazing Advertisers of September, it's here for everybody to see and understand.

Now let's get guessing, what do you think Matt has in store for me??

Toodlepip!

Amazing Advertisers || August 2012

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

This month has flown by hasn't it?! It's time for Amazing Advertisers again, which is your opportunity to get to know the lovely ladies that have been nestled in the left hand side bar this month.

If you would like to advertise on Sprinkle of Glitter in September, look up to the tabs under my header, and 'Sponsor' has all my advertising packages within it. I am now responding to emails and enquiries (I save them up throughout the month so if you emailed last week, don't worry, you haven't been ignored).

Megan loves foxes. Well, that's me already happy, haha! This blog is a beauty to behold. Each post is like literary treasure that makes you want to keep on reading more and lust after vintage finds, makeup or car boot sale bits. Megan is currently away but has very cleverly arranged a series of guest posts to keep us all entertained. I particularly enjoyed the post about jealousy amongst women- some very good points worth thinking about.

Jess is our lady of vintage in question and this month she has been my Ultimate Advertiser so you may have seen her name crop up on the bottom on other posts. Her blog, as you can imagine, is vintage inspired but thrown into the mix are recipes (she owns a bakery-mmm), OOTD's and thoughts on the blogging world. This blog is a pleasure to flick through and one I shall continue to check back upon.

Shelley's blog is a must have on your reading list if you like well written, clear, honest beauty reviews. I love that there is such a variety of beauty products but that all the reviews adhere to the same structure. I know where I am with a bit of structure and that makes me very happy! The images are all crisp and clear and all in all, this blog is professional yet easy. Love.

Louise's blog is a beaut. Easy on the eye, fun and informative to read and choc-o-block with beauty reviews. Perfect for the makeup mad lady. Having reached 1000 followers (well done!), Louise recently hosted a giveaway. I do love a gal with a giveaway! If you love all things girlie, this is the place for you.

I think we all know my love for that lady of thrift. She is my chummy and frankly she is a wizz. I won't go on and on, but basically, if you don't go and look at her blog, then you are a fool. I'm not one for calling you names but really, you heard, a FOOL. Enjoy! x

Rosie has created summer on a blog recently. All of her posts are full of sunshine and happy things, not to mention beautiful photographs and lovely write ups. I love that she not only writes about fashion and happiness, but that she also includes a healthy dose of her own life and allows her readers to really come along with her on adventures.

Liz's blog is the one that looks like a notebook. I do enjoy that tres much you know. This month she has written reviews, searched out hot jackets for Autumn AND written a great piece about going to university and her personal experiences throughout it. I really tip my hat to her for that post. I think if you are considering taking the plunge and furthering your education then you should definitely give it a read, it could prove very handy indeed.

Oooohhh you know those blogs that are about fun days, lifestyle and all the little happies that the world can through at you? The kind you just want to grab a blanket, a cup of mint hot chocolate and sink into? Charlotte's blog is one of those. She very aptly suggested that bank holidays should be purely for staying in bed and tinkering around the internet and I could not agree more. Charlotte is a wise blogger!

Now, as we can all see, I've left sorting September's ad's out a bit late so do accept my apologies. I've had a lot of life on my plate! I still have the Ultimate and Medium slots available but I'm afraid the Large slot was booked up last month! New adverts will run from Sunday.

Have you enjoyed any of these lovely blogs this month?

Toodlepip!

xx

Amazing Advertisers :: August

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

This month has flown by hasn't it?! It's time for Amazing Advertisers again, which is your opportunity to get to know the lovely ladies that have been nestled in the left hand side bar this month.

Be warned - this blog will make you want to shop. Big style. Shelley's blog is fresh, easy to navigate, well written, with great photographs and with well laid out posts. It is literally everything I look for in a blog and I love it. I just sat reading her Topshop Personal Shopper post and now want to book myself an appointment. She makes me want to do things. Ooer.

Confessions of a Secret Shopper

Louise (oh hello name twin) has been my Ultimate Advertiser this month and so you may well have seen her link at the bottom of posts. Like me, Louise is a Mummy obsessed with all things beauty and girlie and her blog is a place for her to share this passion. If you like reviews, tags, giveaways and the odd blog sale here and there, you'll like this blog.

Briar Rose Beauty

Jess is one of those people that is kind through and through. Always there to offer a supportive tweet or encouraging words in an email, she is a gem. Not only is she an all round good egg, her blog is right up my alley. With beauty, fashion, funnies and mummy posts, there is always something interesting to see. Jess is also on Pinterest and has some of the best boards I've seen. Re-pin-tastic! Haha.

A Thrifty Mrs

Mrs Thrifty is my chummy. She is the best of eggs and if you don't love her then you must have a heart of lead (feeling a bit stern there). Her posts are easy to read, informative and guess what?.....thrifty. If this lady doesn't save you some money somewhere, I'll eat my frugal charity shop hat (or borrow one of hers!). Not only is she a cracking gal with a great blog, she offers advertising slots like me, so if you were looking for a bit more exposure, give her a bell. Or just email her. It's not 1997 after all.
PS- Her post on penny pinching glitter polish excited me. Fact.

Prairie Charms

This little accessory shop is simply charming (ooohh see what I did there?). If you like whimsical little bracelets and quirky floral brooches, this may just be the place for you. The shop is clean, fresh and well laid out so if you are looking to treat yourself or have a friend's birthday coming up, check it out. Also, keep your eyes peeled for a giveaway from here very soon!

Obsessive Compulsive Beauty

Sarah is, like many of us, a style and beauty enthusiast. Her blog posts feature her favourite cosmetic finds as well as great fashion combos that I might never have thought of (pencil skirt with a leather jacket for example). I have really liked her latest posts on jeans and found her article explaining the differences in cuts very helpful. No more fitting room tears for me!

The Beauty of Louise

Before we even get onto content, I must just say, I LOVE the colour scheme of this blog! Louise's beauty posts are well written, clearly laid out, interesting and frankly, make me want to buy things- naughty lady! I have also noticed that Louise is now offering advertising slots (only 10 so fairly exclusive) to her fellow bloggers for only £4 per month- bargain!!

Monday Night Fashion

Ooooh this blog is the perfect blend of beauty, fashion, interiors and quaint places to visit. The pictures are large and clear, the writing succinct and there is all round just a lovely tone and feel to Monday Night Fashion. If you're after what I would call a 'relaxing' read, this is your blog. Also, I now what to pop round for dinner and try some of those deserts! Yum!

Musha-Moi

Charlotte's blog is a little unlike your average beauty/fashion blog and as she will tell you herself in the 'About' section of her site, it is a great place for her to find the daily structure she craves whilst living with depression. Depression is a very real illness for a great many people and I think it is commendable that Charlotte has been so open and enlightening about her life. Also, she lives above a bakery and has a pet hedgehog- that sounds like my kinda location!

Wonderful You

Meg, is fast becoming my new favourite blogger. Not only is her blog a visual feast for the eyes, she has giveaways (there is one day left on hers so hurry hurry over), great reviews AND when my chummy Zoe was feeling very grim a couple of weeks ago, Meg did the most thoughtful and kindhearted thing for her. Anything that makes ZoeChummy smile in her time of blueness makes me smile so I think Meg deserves a great big pat on the back. :)

Macgalore

If you like fashion, OOTD's, style and How To's, then you'll like this blog! If blogs aren't your thing but you still like those topics, panic ye not as there Miss MacGalore also has a YouTube channel linked so you can indulge in many a different technology fashion. I have really enjoyed the 'How To Wear Neon' post, as this is a trend I love but struggle to pull off without looking a little nutto! Yay for the Macgalore flavoured help!

Aspirations of Glam

Liz makes me want to buy things. She is an ultra enabler and my purse hates her for it! I however, bloomin' well love it. If a blog can get me hyped up about a product, then it's a goodun! I love her beauty posts and think her photographs are beautiful. I also rather enjoyed her backcombing photos and may have had a little chuckle at them- in a good way of course. Don't ask any more questions, just go and check her out please. Thank you!

Live Love Laugh

Sasha's blog is what I would call a Lifestyle blog. Hurrah!! I do love beauty and style posts, but there is something really soothing and intriguing about reading through other people's day to day business and opinions on topics we all experience. If, like me, you are a closet curtain twitcher, this blog will appeal to you. I also enjoy the fact that Sasha full on got in her shopping trolley in the middle of Morrisons. I shall say no more...

I Am Fabulicious

I Am Fabulicious is a girlie girls haven. Filled with regular beauty posts, up to date industry developments and celeb gossip, this is a blog not to be missed. I really love that everything is clearly laid out (it's things like that that set apart the good from the great if you ask me) and that the images are large and crisp. A jolly good slice of the web indeed.

How does it feel to...

Love this blog? Great! (See what I did there?). This blog is like a pick and mixed of incredibly well written, through provoking pieces of writing. It isn't a beauty or style blog, but a little online feast for the mind. I urge you to go and click on one of the enticing squares and not want to read another. Go wild and give it a whirl.

Fragmented Splendour

Ooohhh puuurddddyyyyy. That's the first thing I think when I look at this shop of gorgeousness. If you like delicate accessories with natural gems and stones and fossils, go and look right this minute. Prices are amazing for these pieces and I think they would make amazing gifts too. Also, I know who I'd rather support out of big corporations or independent businesses. How about you?

Ahhhhh, so there you have it, my lovely Amazing Advertisers of this month.

Have you found any new favourites?

Toodlepip!

Amazing Advertisers || June 2012

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

This month has flown by hasn't it?! It's time for Amazing Advertisers again, which is your opportunity to get to know the lovely ladies that have been nestled in the left hand side bar this month.

If you would like to advertise on Sprinkle of Glitter in May, look up to the tabs under my header, and 'Sponsor' has all my advertising packages within it.

Briar (her blog name) is a peach. We met last month at a conference and have spoken a few times since and she is honestly one of life's 'good people'. Her beautifully girlie blog keeps her sane as she lives in a house full of boys (her Husband and two sons) and I'm really glad that she has created her little online haven. Do go and relish in it too.

Dashing Divas

Dashing Divas is a blog run by three lovely ladies, all with a passion for exercise and healthy eating. They don't blog about crazy fad diets or extreme weight loss, but instead provide helpful tips on the latest exercise gadgets, motivation to get going and a place to find support and ideas for those looking to start or continue with an exercise regime. None of them confess to be 'skinny minnies', they are regular women with a desire to keep fit. Is that's your bag, you'll love this site!

El is my buddy. We chatter daily about all manner of things and she is one of the most knowledgable women I have ever come across. Need to know how to stop your dishwasher leaving grit on glasses? She knows. Need to know where you can find a plus size pleated skirt? She knows. Need to know the meaning of life? She knows. Almost. Basically, she's a winner in my books so go and smother her with winner's glory! Ooerr.

Secret Diary of a Fashion Journalist

Laura is having a complimentary month this June because she is my most frequent Amazing Advertisers and has had to take a few big scary trips to the dentist. Going to the dentist is in my top three of things I hate (alongside giving birth and driving on the motorway) so I really empathised with her. Naturally, the dentist costs a small fortune (paying for pain, lovely) so this months on me because she's a good egg. Go and check her out, if not for her blog, but to console her for her hurty mouth. Poor lamb.

Becaboosmakeup

Rebecca writes about a little bit of everything, from makeup to fashion, to tags to YouTube, there are a wide variety of posts to choose from. I just had a lovely long look through her blog and am in the mood for a Summer holiday- very jealous of her upcoming trip! I've noticed that she also offers advertising packages that look remarkably similar to mine. Copying is the best form of flattery eh?

Aspirations of Glam

Liz probably won't see this as she is currently off jet setting round the Thailand area- the lucky ducky!! Whilst she's away, do check out her blog as it is an absolute pleasure to read. However, if you are a sho-aholic and fight the urge to buy amazingly bargainous shoes, it may well be dangerous- eep. Oh, and don't call her freckles cute, she's going for glam dontchya know! ;)

Wonderful You

You know when you find a blog that you want to immediately sit and read every single post of? That's what Meg's blog is to me. I feel so inspired and rarring to go after a few minutes over there, not to mention a little envious of her OOTD's and beauty photos. I'm not normally a fan of taking photographs of products in grass, but the way Megs does it makes me feel like I'm a little ant in a wonderland like 'Honey I Shrunk The Kids'. If I'm not making sense (which I doubt I am), hop on over and see for yourself.

Emma Cossey The Freelance Lifestyle

Emma is a savvy lady with an impressive portfolio of places she has written for- The Times Wedding Section - Oh la la! As well as being a Freelance Writer/Editor/Ambassador, she also runs her own blog about all manner of interesting or helpful things. She has pointed me in the direction of some great online media tools and I particularly enjoyed her post about Introverts and Extroverts. Check her out and find out what you are.

Fivolous Mrs D

Elena is living the dream. She is married with 2 fluffy kitties and runs her own business- A cupcakery!!! Who doesn't want to have cats and make cupcakes for a job?! Her blog is jam packed with nail of the day's (I now want to pull off my impress nails and do mint polka dots like hers), OOTD and beauty reviews. Cakes and makeup, I'm all over it!! Such a sweet blog, a must have for your reading list.

The Beauty of Louise

Louise's blog (oohh that feels weird saying that when my name is Louise too haha) has just had a total makeover and is an absolute beauty! You will find well thought out posts, great images and BRILLIANT nail ideas! Ever seen 'thread nails'? I hadn't until I read her tutorial and LOVED it. Go and make your nails all thready cool please. I foresee a new nail trend!

If you would like to book a slot for next month (July), I am now responding to all enquiries and spaces will book up fast, judging on the amount of emails I already have in my inbox- eepp!!! Contact me on louise.pentland@hotmail.co.uk.

Who's blog are you hearting this month?

Icey Nicey

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

Earlier on in the week, in THIS post, I talked about how I was going to set myself little targets, in order to meet my bigger goal of a happier life. To be clear, I'm not unhappy-crying-my-eyes-out-every-2-seconds, I just haven't been feeling myself these last few weeks.

One of my goals was to discover new ways to play with Baby Glitter, because I feel like her toys are getting a little run of the mill, and she needs something a little more stimulating to play with. My criteria for activities this week were- something we could do together, easy to set up, easy to put away, not too pricey and something we could talk about as I am really keen to encourage her linguistic skills. She currently says a small set of words, but we're expanding them week on week.

On Tuesday, we took out a plastic place mat, a tray of ice cubes and sat and played for about 20 minutes. She LOVED it! Who knew bits of frozen water could be so thrilling?? Baby glitter really enjoyed pushing them about, picking them up and clenching her little fingers round them and then dropping them and looking surprised that they were cold, handing them to me and licking them. I enjoyed counting them out to her, using key words very clearly and repetitively ('cold' and 'ice' etc), letting her skin experience different temperatures and interacting with a very engaged baby.

Baby Glitter plays every day and is usually really happy in her own little world, but it was really full filling to actually sit down and play with her, talk to her, see how interested she was in what we were doing.

We've found a few activities like that this week which I will share with you over the next few days, but I thought seeing as this was our first, it'd be your first too. Another plus of Ice Play, is that it's free and makes minimal mess (a bit of water never hurt anyone, not even my oatmeal carpets!).

Also, I killed two birds with one stone (I hate that phrase- why would you want to kill a bird with a stone??). In my list of goals, I had aimed to learn how to use my new camera- I used it for the first time to snap our little play date- yay! Naturally I have a lot to figure out, but so far I'm pleased as punch.

Do you ever make up fun games for young children? Share the love and inspire us if you do!

Toodlepip!

Amazing Advertisers :: May 2012

Spaces are filling up fast, so please do book soon if you're interested.

Mrs Thrifty is one of life's good eggs. Firstly, her blog is amazing. I have loved it for months and have actually read every post she's ever written. If you are after budget advice, cool household tips, discount codes, charity shop hauls, craft ideas or just a bit of wit, check her out. Secondly, we were in London earlier this month and a man came up to her and called her a 'pervert's delight'. Ahahahaha!!

Secret Diary of a Fashion Journalist

Laura has been my Ultimate Advertiser this month and after having her advertise with me for about 6 consecutive months, I was thrilled to have her as my first- ooer. I met her recently at an event and she was such a doll, with the best Essex accent ever! I love an Essexian (new word there). She has recently bought a gorgeous Michael Kors watch (I'm well jel- see what I did there), as well as joining the Essie Mint Candy Apple club. In short, she's a goodun- check her out!

Aspirations of Glam

Liz's 'notebook' style blog is a real gem. With a great mixture of beauty reviews, hauls, videos, ebay bargains (who doesn't love a good ebay bargain) and fashion, there really is something for everyone. He recent Barry M lipstick post has reignited my love for hot pink lips (I was stearing toward red dontchya know!). I love, love, love the journal graphics and think you'd like them too.

Love 212

Love212 is run by a 30 something year old gal called Elena, who writes about an eclectic mix of beauty, fashion and life. I love her affordable fashion finds and have particularly enjoyed her post introducing us to 'Champagne and Lemonade'- how very Carrie Bradshaw! If you're a designer diva, you'll like this blog.

The Beauty of Louise

Naturally I'm biased (we're name twins!), but I love the name of this blog. Hehe. Louise write fabulous beauty reviews and in particular, I literally swooned over her recent Rainbow Nails. They took her 2 hours but wowee they look brilliant! I really appreciated the step by step guide as I am somewhat of a nail novice. If you're interested in having beautiful summer nails, you know where to go!

Beauty and Baggage

Seonaid has advertised with me for a few months now and it's been a pleasure to have her. I love that she always swatches products and shows them on the flesh- something I should do more of myself. Recently, she has created a little NYX lipgloss series which I have enjoyed. Also, I didn't realise what great prices they were, so well done Beauty and Baggage for finding such affordable gems!!

What The Buzz?!

Sarah's blog is jam packed with all things beauty and lifey. Two posts I have really enjoyed this month were her review on Fleur's lovely crystal wrap bracelets (Sarah included some BRILLIANT photos) and a post that introduced me to a new service where you can order friends a box of biscuity treats so send through the post- Sarah describes it much better than I do so do check her out. :)

Scarlett Hearts

Scarlett Hearts has been featured on Sprinkle of Glitter many a time because I have a few pieces from this delightful little shop. If you like handmade or quirky girlie jewels, this is the place to go. Items seem to sell out pretty quickly so if there is something you have your eye on, I'd suggest snapping it up as soon as you can.

Blog Hops Every Day

B.H.E.D is also run by Elena from Love 212 (she's a clever lady, non?). It's a really innovative blog which allows you to really get your own blog out there, find new ones you might like and increase all the numbers you might want to (followers, visits etc). The idea is really simple and Elena is great at linking all your blogs. It's a really easy concept to grasp once you have read Elena's short post (I'm not describing it too well here! haha) but if you have a blog and you'd like to increase your readership, I strongly suggest you check this out. It might do you wonders!

Fiona Loves

Fiona's blog is a fabulously feminine mix of beauty reviews, life updates and tags. This month Fiona has been competing in Miss York and has made it through to the finals! I'm not sure how she's getting on but I'm excited and hope she makes it through! Her reviews are detailed and honest and her blog is a little joy to read. Do check it out if you want a relaxing girlie moment or two.

Special mention also needs to go to Briar (her online name) from Briar Rose Beauty. She advertised with me last month and due to a technical error on my behalf, is having a complimentary month. I met her a couple of weeks back at a conference and she was the warmest, most easy to chat to and caring gal I've met in a long time. That day was a really upsetting time (personal issue I won't bother wasting your time with) and Briar was so soothing and supportive and I was glad to have her there. You may have seen her in my vlog (she's the blonde hottie) but I wanted to give her a little blog shoutout too because like Mrs Thrifty, she's a really good egg and I think you'd like her too.

If you would like to have your blog or handmade business feature on Sprinkle of Glitter, you will find all my rates HERE. Please email me by Sunday PM if you are interested and we can arrange something lovely to start June 1st. Spaces are limited and given on a first come, first serve basis.

Edit :: The 'LARGE GLITTER PACKAGE' has now been taken for June.

Have you just discovered any of these lovely ladies? What did you think?

Tuesday Tip :: 'Ear 'Ear

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

It's Tuesday Tip time again! Gosh, that went fast didn't it?

This week's tip is a beauty one, so all you makeup lovers can do a silent fist pump of joy together. Ahhh unity.

Applying foundation is a fairly basic and necessary beauty step for most people. It hides spots, covers blemishes and evens skin tone. I usually blend right down my neck to prevent chavtastic tide lines and right into the hair line too. Today's tip to you though, is to consider giving your foundation brush a quick swizz over your ears.

Think of all those times when you become a little flushed (hot office boy winks at you, you run for a bus, you say something ridiculous) and you smugly think, "Oh joy unbounded, I have my foundation on so there will be no red cheekedness for me!". Wait, your ears are giving the game away! A quick swipe of foundation and you're sorted.

This also works well if you are going to be photographed a lot (nights out, occasion days, paparazzi...maybe not) as it gives you a professional overall finish.

Do you ever do this?

Toodlepip!

PS- I will be taking bookings for April advertising slots (look left) for a couple more days, so if you have a blog or handmade business that you would like to promote for a small monthly fee, AND a linked feature in my Amazing Advertisers post, please do drop me an email and we can arrange something lovely.

Secret Diary of a Fashion Journalist
Laura is Lovely. This is la facte. She has been advertising on Sprinkle of Glitter for a few months now and so we have had quite a few little chitchats via email and she is an absolute pleasure to work with. Her blog is as lovely as it's writer and this month reached a big milestone- it turned One! Congratulations! On top of that, there are fashion, beauty and lifey posts and I couldn't help but notice that Laura and I are pink Primark scarf twins. Woop woop!

Beauty and Baggage
Seonaid has been a very lucky ducky this month and has been to the land of cheese and wine, Paris. She kindly posted a fab haul of high end and drugstore brands, enough to make your drool and has spent the month sharing her reviews and Paris snaps. If you are in the market for a new mascara, this is the blog for you.

Maydoll
Ellie's blog is fresh and easy on the eye. I could go on and on about her posts, but one that has literally HURT my bank balance is her recent Laura Mercier post. Puurrrleaasee go and have a look, you will just swoon. With great photos and the fact we both own the same MAC lipstick, Ellie's blog is a winner.

Adoreabubbles
Sarah is completely adorable (haha see what I did there?!). As a blogger and vlogger, she provides a great range of products and reviews, as well as talking about recent beauty experiences she has had. I love that there is no photoshopping and she isn't afraid to do a before and after shot, so you really can see exactly what a product or service has to offer. Great informative blog, with plenty of personality to boot.

Kiss and Makeup
Lisa's blog has had a bit of changey roundy this month and a new twitter account too. With fabulously photographed posts on nail polish (neon bubblegum pink please!), skincare, lipsticks and palettes, it's a girlie haven. With hauls galore, this is the blog for you.

Briar Rose Beauty
Jess's blog is not like other blogs. With catagorised pages filled with inticing little squares that link to articles, it's and organisationy girl's dream! Posts range from craft to nails to to beauty to style, so you can be sure there will be something you'll like. If you don't check it out for the info and reviews (tut tut), then go and have a look at the swishness and unique layout!

Danzies Bits of Beauty
Danielle is quite clearly, OBSESSED WITH LIPSTICK! With reviews, photos, swatches (on and off lips), giveaways and a range of highend and drugstore, this blog is choc-a-block with lippies. You'll also find posts on nails, subscription services and a bit of general chitchat. A lovely blog, that really makes me want to hit the makeup stands and swatch, swatch, swatch!

SBTCD
Charli has everything in a blog that a love. Clear layout, consise writing, gorgeous photographs and considered and well reasoned thoughts. Deary me, I sound like a teacher writing a report, but really, I do love, love, love this blog. Charli reviews a variety of products for a variety of budgets and even chats about her blog event experiences too. Lovely!

Lilly Belle
Lilly Belle Accessories is a cute, girlie shop filled to the brim with jewellery and headwear. There is even a collection for the little ladies in your life. There really is something pretty for so many occassions on this site- I even spotted a bridal garter- ooerrr mrs! If you have a little looksie at the ad button to the left of the screen, there is a cheeky little discount for all us Sprinklerinos. Woop.

Jessica Racheal
Jessica's blog makes me really happy. She does amazing nail tutorials with step by step nail tutorials and makes me want to try some of her fancy fun camera ideas. Jessica has just tipped over the 100 follower mark but I'm 100% sure she'll be shooting up, up and away. Please so go and show your glittery support.

Sam's Notebook
Sam's little space of the internet is awash with gorgeous pictures and insightful words about a range of beauty products, a lot of them very affordable. I love that Sam shows that you don't always have to buy incrediably expensive products to have a great cosmetic collection. Check her out s'il vous plait.

Hanny Made
Hanny Made is a shop full of handmade goodies, created by Hannah. See what she did with the name there? Clever non? Hannah has created a selection of very affordable girlie pieces and told me that the galaxy pendant is her best selling item, so be sure to snap it up before it sells out!

If you have blog or handmade business, a blog button no wider than 200px and would like to advertise in April (from the 1st), then drop me an email and we can talk about prices (which are tres reasonable).

Hope you find a new blog to add to your reading list!

Flutter and Sparkle

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

It was bound to happen soon enough, but I shall hold my paws up and say- 'Woops! I forgot someone!'. Uh oh!

Gem has an advert with me and was meant to be in today's Amazing Advertiser post, but with errands to the post office and Matt's work, a slightly off par baby and something pretty big happening tomorrow (ooo mysterious), I let someone slip through the net and feel just horrible for it!

flutter and sparkle

To make up for my woopsie, I shall tell you about her here instead, so that those who have already read my previous post, won't miss her.

Gem's blog is girlie through and through. She herself admits that she has a serious addiction to shoes and fortunately for us, is happy to share her shopping hauls! With posts ranging from the latest nail techniques, to easy step by step bakery tutorials, this blog has a little bit of everything I like- beauty and food! haha!

Please do stop by and have a look at her great posts, and Gem, if you're reading, am I forgiven?

Passion About Fashion

Laura is a regular advertiser with me. I've noticed this month her blog has had a bit of a makeover and is looking rather swish. From foundation to fashion, gems to swanky events, this blog is a girlie haven of interesting posts and pictures. Pop over and see for yourself!

Laura Laments

Another Laura, another regular. I've loved this blog since I discovered it last yeat and I like to think you will too. Laura's posts are beautifully written and allow you to loose yourself in her witty accounts of the life of a single gal in London. A brilliant lifestyle blog and a breath of fresh air.

Beauty Butterfly Blog

Jade is another regular on Sprinkle of Glitter (gee wizz I must be doing something right haha!). Her beauty product reviews are brilliantly laid out, with clear subtitles, so if there is just one thing you are looking to find out, it's simple pimples. With product reviews from MAC to Blistex, there is something for every budget and beauty fan. Loves it.

Beauty and Baggage

Seonaid is another regular advertiser (haha spot a pattern? Happy Customers!) and is a total gem. She has eyelashes that make me very jealous- despite reviewing some very lovely false lashes, she really doesn't need them, blending skills to die for and is currently running a giveaway for some Benefit goodies- Yay! If you'd like to win some gorgeous luxury cosmetics, check her out.

La Vida Fresa

If you like reviews, hauls, tags, cute kitty snaps and dupes, THIS is the blog fr you. With regular updates and a fresh layout, this blog really is a pleasure to read. Paula is also on twitter as @Miss_PaulaB, so check her out and say, 'Howdy Doody'- she's very friendly I promise!!

Obvious Leigh
Leigh's blog makes me tres happy. Like me, she is a Yummy Mummy (I have high opinions of myself haha) and shows us all that you can still find a little bit of time to pamper or treat yourself to a few beauty products here and there. Her posts range from beauty (with great swatches), fashion and hauls. Well worth a read.

Bella Blonde

Sarah-Jayne is one busy lady. Her blog encompasses beauty, lifestyle and craft posts, which is just as well considering Sarah is a qualified Beauty Therapist who also teaches in college- oof, where does she find the time? I think this is the blog that has everything- easy step by step craft tutorials, shopping hauls, hair and beauty reviews and a little bit of 'lifeyness' thrown in to boot. Yay!

Flossie's Beauty Love

Flossie is a busy Mum of two, 'trying' (her words, not mine!), to stay glam and imparting her beauty knowledge on all of us eager beavers. Flossie has worked for an array of beauty companies and so really knows her stuff! If you like posts about storage, reviews, events and hauls, this is a blog for your reading list.

Miss LV

Miss LV (not sure if she'd like her first name published) is a makeup obsessed animal lover. Although her posts range from high end Illamasqua to the ultra affordable MUA, she is currently running a mini series on MAC Lipsticks, so do head over and check those out. A lovely blog, with surprise give aways, beauty and a touch of life to boot!

A World Full Of Prettiness

Kate's blog is jammed packed with everything girlie- OOTD'S, NOTD'S, reviews, hauls, ideas and lifey posts, there is bound to be something you'll enjoy reading. If for no other reason, you should check it out purely because of how gorgeously cute her bedroom is! See for yourself!

Wired

Wired is the most amazing jewellery company ever! I have actually given this advert a complimentary month (Faye bought a January slot) purely because I just love all the pretty things and think it deserves as much coverage as possible and you all need to know about it!

As I mentioned above, if you would like to advertise your blog or handmade business on Sprinkle of Glitter, please do get in touch as spaces are limited and filling up quickly. Please note that there is a small (very reasonable I promise) fee for this service and you MUST be a blog or HANDMADE business. Ads can be a maximum of 200pixels wide (and to be supplied by you) and run for one month from the 1st of each month. Payment is to be made upfront via paypal.

I know that sounded all very formal, but rather than have you wondering and me asnwering the same questions multiple times, I thought I'd try and makes things easy for us all.

Also, as it is Amazing Advertisers Day (haha it's officially a day!), then if you have a blog and would like to give yourself a shoutout on my Facebook Page then today you can. Pop over and say, "Amazing Advertiser Day Shoutout......." and then whatever you like and your blog link. For today only, go wild!!

Amazing Advertisers :: January 2012

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

That time again already? Gosh, doesn't time fly.

This month has been a bumper month for ladies (it is open to men too! haha) wanting to book advertising space. In fact, I have already had several enquiries about February (which I will reply to asap, never fear) so if you are interested, do please get in touch sooner rather than later.

Tumblr_lv5kr4ofqd1qcn2y9o1_500_large

This blog is everything you would want in a Beauty and Fashion Blog. A little bit of fashion, a little bit of beauty and a little bit of Laura's life, all rolled into one girlie spot. Laura varies her posts so the content is always different. With regular updates, you will always find something fun to read.

Maydoll is a fabulous blog which more often than not, makes me want to buy things. Ellie finds dupes, fashion gems and gives crazy good explanations of eyeshadow colours (I now NEED MAC's All That Glitters in my life.). Ellie's blog is sleek, easy to navigate and well worth a read.

If you don't look at Amy's blog for anything else, go ahead and check out her header. It makes me smile every time I do. Paperbacks and Postcards is an eclectic mix of beauty, music, jewels (she's an etsy lover so she's a good'un) and humour. If you get the chance, have a looksie at her 'About' page, it's a good read and it's nice way to find out a bit more about the gal behind the blog.

You may remember Laura from a few months back when she advertised here last year. I'm so glad to have her back because I love loosing myself in her blog. Her writing style is amazing and you'd be forgiven for thinking you were reading a monthly glossy rather than a blog. I just read through her "25 before 25" post and I feel seriously inspired to make one myself/seriously jealous of her figure!

Number one, who knew there were such things and sweet potato fries? Number two, have a looksie at this blog. It is a lovely mix of foodie suggestions, photographs (of crabs stealing biscuits!), beauty and fashion. Sarah is fairly new to the blogging world, but I'm sure all of you lovely lot will give her a great big welcome and sloppy kiss. Ok, maybe not the kiss then.

Jade's blog is beauty product-tastic. If you want to just gorge on reviews, pictures, face of the days and hauls, this is the place for it. Jade is a woman after my own heart, and also hates her eyebrows. Yes, I know that's a slightly random thing to say, but I feel her pain and thought I'd share it. Jade's reviews are easy to read and well laid out (not like my waffly-onny ones!) and she has already pointed me in the direction of a few things I'd like to purchase.

Seonaid describes herself as a girl with wanderlust, a love of clothes and beauty product problem. I think as beauty bloggers, we can all related to this! I think solely from her header we can see that she is a lipstick lover! Luckily for us, her posts live up to this, with a huge array of lip products and well lit swatches. Hurrah!

Bex's blog is another winner. Jam packed with fashion and beauty posts, all whilst finding her feet as a new mum. Having read through it, I was really impressed that she wasn't afraid to showcase and feature products that I hadn't come across too much (like Lime Crime for example) and so it has given me a few things to put on my 'to look into' list. Thanks Bex!

Wired Jewellery is the brainchild of the extremely talented Faye. Faye is a 22 year old Londoner who started her business this July to make a little extra mula whilst she studied. Originally using materials like clay to make her creations, but Faye has now moved onto metals and semi-precious stones to make the majority of her little beauties. She tries to use sterling silver where possible, because she believes that nobody wants green skin- I think we can all agree with her on that one! All of the Wired prices are very reasonable, ranging from about £5-£20 and if you go use the code on the add, you will receive 10% off. I think this will be a limited offer though so get in there quickly! NB- I just went to order something and it was sold out, so REALLY, get in there NOW!!

~~~~~~~~
Phhheewwyyy that was a lorra lorra Amazing Advertisers this month! If you are interested in advertising you blog or handmade business, please do email for prices and availability. I have already had a lot of interest for February, so spaces are filling up fast!
~~~~~~~

Who was your favourite from these lovely ladies? Are you going to use your discount code?

Amazing Advertisers :: December 2011

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

I couldn't be feeling festive more if I tried. We've not long come in from a carol service where I had my first mince pie of the year, our candles are lit, the fairy lights are on, Michael Buble is crooning away on the telebox.

I thought I'd take this moment of peace to tell you about my Amazing Advertisers this month.

Tumblr_lwf81h7hsv1qmw440o1_r2_500_large
(Image: weheartit.com)

Laura is a 20 something fashion journalist with a penchant for makeup, nail art, Downton Abbey (tehe me too!) and of course, fashion! If you'd like some nail inspiration, tips for whiter teeth (that was a good'un) or even bargainous designer shoe dupes, Laura is your gal! Click on her name or the ad to the left and check her out.

Ellie is one of my regular amazing advertisers over here and it really is a pleasure to have her. Her blog is jam packed full of makeup hauls, style inspired wish lists and fun tags- I really want to do her 'How much is your face worth' tag. If you fancy a girlie read that'll make you want to hit the shops, check her out!

Faye and I go waaaaayyyyy back. We met in freshers week at university in Liverpool 8 years ago (wow I feel old) and that first meeting (in a lift!) lead to years of adventures. Dancing in the flood water of her flat, numerous cheese toasties, insane nights out, games like 'Five Item Dress Up' and the time she saved my life by shouting, "DON'T PUT YOUR KNIFE IN THE TOASTER!!", are a few reasons why I love her.
Recently Faye has started a blog all about her life as a domestic goddess. If you're into baking, making, mini breaks and generally nosy-ing into someone else's life, Faye is your gal.

If you would like to advertise on Sprinkle of Glitter, please do send me an email with the link of the blog or small business- I only accept genre suitable sites. Now taking January bookings, limited spaces available.

Do any of these lovely ladies float your boat? Are you following them?

Amazing Advertisers

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

As you will see, I have a few adverts dotted around this sparkly little place, they help keep things ticking over, and I wanted to tell you about the people behind them.

Glitter-love-sparkle-favim.com-170583_large
(Image: weheartit.com)

Each month, I give fellow bloggers and small business owners the chance to rent a little bit of ad space. I love the blogging community and love that everyone is so supportive- supportive to those who sell ad space (I've seen a tonne of bloggers who do and I take my hat off to them) and supportive to those who have little ads (I always click on those and have a looksie).

So let's see who has made Sprinkle of Glitter their home this month....

Rebecca is pretty, clever, talented and lovely. Her blog is easy on the eye, interesting to read and well written. Rebecca is also a freelance journalist and with many other publications under her belt, aspires to the bright lights of Vogue. When you get there, I'll have a free subscription please!!

It's very rare that I find someone surfing my wavelength, but Hannah is one of them. She's at uni and living the dream. If the dream is cut price fish fingers and living with porn addicted boys. I love reading her blog because it reminds me so much of my uni days. We had a great back and forth email chat about uni life and I'm really excited to share her journey with her.

Mary worked hardest on her had. It took us ages to get the image the right size and all that shibang and after many old school swearwords ('knob' and 'div' being two favourites) we got there. Give this girl a round of applause, she worked very hard! As well as her spangly blog, Mary also has a YouTube Channel. So if you're more of a watcher than a reader, you'll be reet.

Serline at Serache
Serline is one half of the big cheese behind Serache, which is a site specialising in hair extensions. I don't wear these myself as I have unbearably thick hair, but know a lot of you lovelies swear by them. If you're an extensions kinda gal, check it out.

Ellie at Maydoll
Ellie is 19 and like me, has a love for MAC. She's a winner already, haha. Her blog is a love mix of hauls, beauty, fashion, swatches and self confessed, rambles. Ellie also has a little jewellery shop, which you can check out HERE.

You may have noticed that I also have Abbie's blog button there too. Abbie is the fabulous lady who helped me jazz the look and image of my blog up. I'm incredibly grateful so I wanted to give her a little spot for a while. She has a very cool blog and I heart her.

So that's them! If you are interested in advertising on Sprinkle of Glitter, drop me an email. I will just say though, I had a lot of enquiries about it, sent back quite lengthy responses and then in some cases, never had a response. Even if you change your mind or after hearing the T&C's and don't fancy it, please do let me know and have the courtesy to respond.

Have you checked any of these ladies out? Do you love them as much as me?
