Tag || How Much Is Your Face Worth?

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

I was recently asked on Twitter what you would like to see for a blog post and one of the suggestions was the 'How Much Is Your Face Worth' Tag. This is where you take note of all the products you have on your face for any one FOTD, note the cost of each item and then total it. Now obviously you won't be using an entire bottle of foundation or an entire tube of mascara, but this is the game and I didn't make the rules! Heh heh.

Nuxe Facial Cream :: £16 (Review coming soon)
MAC Studio Sculpt NW20 :: £24.00
MUFE Concealer :: £22.50
MAC MSF Soft & Gentle :: £21.50
Primark Blusher/Bronzer Kit :: £1.50

MAC Eyebrow Pencil (Dirty Blonde) :: (Discontinued but similar product is £12.50)
MAC Brow Set :: £12.50
MAC Paint Pot (Bare Study) :: £14.50
Stila (Cream Shimmer from the 'In The Light' palette) :: £25
L'Oreal Carbon Gloss Liquid Liner :: £6.49
YSL Shocking Mascara :: £23

Topshop Lipstick (Brighton Rock) :: £8
Topshop Lip Stick (Clueless) :: £7
MUA Lipgloss (Pink Shimmer) :: £4

TOTAL :: £198.49

I. Am. Shocked. Woah.

I know I like and use a lot of luxury products but this has really blown me away. I feel a little bit embarrassed!!!

I don't think taking part in this tag is going to make me use less or buy cheaper products because I love all the ones I use but it has certainly made me more away of my naughty little obsession. I can find solice in the fact that I don't splash cash on designer clothes or expensive bags, but beauty and cosmetics are my passion. Does that make it any better? No, probably not. I dread to think what the total would be for a night time look, complete with lashes and glitter! Cripes!

I tag anybody who follows this blog to do this tag! Feel free to leave a comment below with your link and we can all be horrified together at how much money we spend on our faces!

Toodlepip!

The Seven Deadly Sin Tag

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

From time to time I see a tag on YouTube which really tickles my pickle. The Seven Deadly (Beauty) Sins Tag definitely appealed to me so I whipped up a little video for you all. Seeing as I like the concept so much, I thought I would share it on my blog as well, in case you don't follow YouTube like a hawk (aka. like me!)

If you would like to make a video on this or perhaps a blog post if that is more your bag, then go for it, it's a hoot!

Do you know of any good tags that you would like to see on Sprinkle of Glitter?

Sunday Tag- Blog Awards

Aloha Bloggerinos,

In the last few weeks I have been very kindly nominated for a few awards and I am only just getting round to do them. I have them written down on a piece of paper (as in who they are from and the like) and I believe it is at work but I suspect the Messy Fairy has misplaced it. I know this is terrible but if you are reading this and you have been so kind as to to nominate me, please just pop another comment under this post and I will be sure to do it and grovel very very much! Tehe!

So, apologies to one side, this Sweet Blog award is from the uber cool Krystal Leigh from Missy Sassy Pants

" The Rules: Give this award to 10 sweet bloggers. Make a post about the award including the picture and mention the person who gave it to you. Put the award on your blog. Let your nominated 10 know you've awarded them by leaving a comment."

So here are the blogs I nominate:

The next lovely award I have been given is from the spiffing Hannah from Away with the faires and it is a Chery On Top Award, oh la la! Virtual hug to Hannah!

The Rules:

1. Thank the person that gave this to you :) Go on, give them a virtual hug!

2. Copy the award and put it on your blog.

3. List 3 things you love about yourself ♥

4. Post a picture you love (e.g a person you adore etc.)

5. Tag people you wish to pass this award on to :)

3 Things I love about myself are (ooh it feels really wrong to boost about yourself!):
Numero One- I am not a judger. If you told me you like to shove hamsters up your bottom (please don't, the hamster will be annoyed), I would just say "Ok then". I don't like it when people are unnecessarily judgemental.

Numero Two- I love my blog! It's so therapeutic to write and all you lovely followers always say such nice things. Thank you.

Numero Three- I love my lips. They seem to be a nice shape and they like to kiss Mattmoo and the cat (on the head, not in a freaky cat lover way!)

A picture I love:

This is my chum Ceri and I on a little excursion last summer (I had gone a bit tan-tastic it seems). It was a really fun night and I can't be sure why, but I was in a really silly mood all night! heh heh heh!

People I would like to give this blog award to are:

and

So Bloggerinos, a long post there and more awards to come. Hope you are all having a good Sunday.

Sunday Tag- 8th Picture

Aloha Bloggerinos,

As I promised yesterday, I hadn't forgotten about my Sunday Tag feature and here it is. I have seen it on a bajillion other blogs and wanted to jump on the bandwagon to. The tag is to choose the 8th picture from the 8th folder in your Pictures.

Now, I was hoping for a picture full of fun, or me looking nice, or something truly amazing, but alas, sod's law says it isn't!

This is a picture of the little plush star decorations I made to sell at a craft fair last year. The fabric is from John Lewis and I remember liking it because I thought it was a bit Cath Kidston-esque and a love a bit of Cathy K! Mint green button stitched on with red thread to tie in with the fabric and white satin ribbon so you can hang the star on doors, drawers and hooks. Simples.

Do you ever sew anything and have you done this tag? I tag you all!

Makeup reviews coming soon (it's been payday-woop woop!!)

Sunday Tag from Cupcakes and Rainbowdust

Aloha Bloggerinos,

I have been wanting to start a feature for quite a while now and have finally decided that every Sunday (or as many as possible), I will do a tag from someones blog.

So this week I have chosen a '12 Questions' tag from Cupcakes and Rainbowdust. If you haven't already checked her out, go have a looksie. I thought it might be fun to do a bit of 'getting to know me' stuff and I tag all my followers and all those who comment and read. I am really grateful for all of you and am always touched by your kind and supportive comments. :)

So let's get crackalackin'!

1. What shoe size are you?

Size 7. Most of my Liverpool chums are a size 7 which was great when we were all at uni, but my Northampton chums all seem to be a 5-6 which is a bummer- no swapsies for me!!

2. Where do you work?

I work full time as a PA to the big cheese at a very large recruitment firm. Since working there I have met loads of really nice girls and boys and think that some of them will be my chummies for a long time to come :)

3. Favorite piece of clothing you own?

I am currently in love with a light blue floaty dress I bought from Primark back in March. I wish wish wish I had been savvy enough to buy one in grey but alas, I will carry on my love affair with the little blue number.

4. Your favorite blog?

I go through phases with blogs I love. Maybe I should make a Blog of the Week feature too?

5. Do you have any pets?

Yes indeedydoody. Mindycat is my little fluffy baby. She's a little weirdo though. She runs for the hills (or at least her behind-the-sofa-kitty-lair) at the slightest noise, has a really big body but tiny legs (we suspect if she were human she would be 4"5 and obese) and is sometimes bullied by this really big blackbird that comes into the garden when she's sunbathing and squarks at her. I'm trying to encourage her to stand up for herself but to no avail.

6. How many siblings do you have?

I have one half sister (same Dad) called Tiyana who is 13. I consider her my full sister because I love her to absolute bits and she is my little playmate. I like to call her Tiyana Banana or Lister (L ittle s ISTER). I have 2 step brothers who I only really see at Christmas and they are both older than me.

7. If you could live anywhere, where would it be?

I would love to live in America. I have been there a few times when I was younger and am going there next year on my belated honeymoon (we're not going straight after the wedding for mula reasons). I love America looaaddsss. :) :) :)

8. What were you doing before this?

I was reading all your blogs whilst regretting having one too many Pineapple Punch Cocktails last night......and also the warm white wine we glugged before the taxi man turned up with the mentality of "It's bad to waste it, even if it has been in the garden all day and we are having to down it out of a plastic Alton Towers mug". Classy.

(Drinks in real pineapples and real coconuts- what is the world coming to??!!)

9. Your favorite food?

Dominos pizza or a full English roast. Yes please.

10. Do you have a middle name?

Yes, Alexandra. I really like it because my Dad said it's the one my Mum picked for me. If I have a little girl, I would give her my Mum's middle name (which was Jane) in memory of her.  ♥

11. Your favorite websites?

Blogspot, weheartit, YouTube, Matha Stewart (for her amazing craft ideas and instructions), Monsoon, John Lewis, Facebook, ETSY, the list goes on......

12. Who do you tag?

Everyone who reads, follows or comments. :)

Hope you enjoyed my Taggeroo and look forward to reading yours.

Our Story (A New Tag!)

Aloha Bloggerinos,

I am starting a new tag! I have seen loads around and I love reading them and doing them so I thought "Why the heck not?!"

So this tag is to tell a story of you and a boyfriend, girlfriend, best friend, pet or anyone else you can think of! I'd like to know how you met, their 3 top likes, 3 top dislikes and your favourite thing about that person.

So here is mine.

This is Matthew. I like to call him Mattmoo and various other names I shan't be sharing! (ooer Misses!)

We met in September 2004 at uni in Liverpool. I was visiting my friend Jess in her new flat and her new flatmate walked in to get something out of the fridge (a cookie if memory serves me- I thought it odd to keep cookies in a fridge!). It was love at first sight. I thought he was teerrrrrriiibbllyy good looking but then I remember thinking "Oh well, far to hot for me!". How wrong I was!

We were acquaintances, then friends and then by June the 1st 2005, we were an item! We finished university and then on a very cold night at the Albert Dock in Liverpool, on the 1st of December 2006, Matt asked me if I'd be his wife.

So with 4 years of luuurrvvvee, laughter and a few good rows, here we are in our beautiful little house in the suburbs. What more could I ask for?

Matt likes Spanish food, Sky Sports News and driving about in our car called Erc.
Matt hates strawberries, the sound of nails scratching on fabric and when Mindycat creeps into our room at night (he says she purrs too loud! Jeez Louise!!).

My favourite thing about him is his patience. I have literally never met a more patient man in all my life. He puts up with an awful lot from me I can tell you. Yowzas!

Matt and I are getting married this year on the 4th of September and I cannot cannot cannot WAIT to be his wife and live happily ever after!

Ta da!!

I would luuuuurrrvvveee to hear all your stories, no matter how slushy/weird/long or peculiar!! Link me back so I know you have done one and I shall be sure to read.

I tag everyone that is reading this right now. That means YOU! :)

5 Products I Could Never Live Without TAG

A while back, in the depths of February, I said that I wanted to do a taggero and couldn't decide which one I fancied. The ever lovely Kathy from Germany, suggested a products-I-can't-live-without one and so here we are. I'll keep it short and sweet because I know you'd rather read reviews and whatnot :)

1. LUSH Dream Cream to keep my skin all hydrated and lovely.
2. Mascara. I'm a mascara whore and am not loyal to a particular one. At the mo I'm using Bourjois but my love affair with this could end any day!
3. MAC Shadestick in Beige-ing. I use this everyday as an eyeshadow primer or just on it's own if I'm being a lazymouse (Ricky Gervias fans will get that). One magical time about a year ago, MAC did a shadestick in Pink Couture and it was the best colour ever. I have used it all up now and they haven't done a light pink one since. I live in hope they will bring this baby back.
4. Fake tan. Preferably the Garnier Ambre Solair Dry Mist variety. Tan hides a multitude of sins, of which I have many!
5. Soap and Glory Mother Pucker lipgloss in Peachy Keen. Yes please.

I tag everybody to do this. It's quick and theraputic and a perfect Sunday morning pleasure :)

TAG- 10 Most Worn Beauty Products

Welcome to my first official tag- how exciting! I was kindly tagged by the lovely Kathi (   http://mac-a-holic.blogspot.com/   ) to do this "10 Most Worn Beauty Products" tag. I know her blog is in German but she is fluent in English so if you wanted to leave a comment or question for her, I am sure she would be pleased and get back to you :)

So, here are my answers! I tag you all to do this yourself too, it's great fun!

1. most worn lipstick+lipgloss:
Soap and Glory Sexy Motherpucker in Perfect Peach. It is a gorgeous colour and leaves my lips feeling all tingly! zing zing!
I'm also a huge fan of MAC Dazzleglass (I have four of them) but I don't wear them as much as Sexy Motherpucker.

2. most worn eyeliner/kajal:
Benefit Bad Gal Waterproof eyeliner in black.

3. most worn nailpolish:
I rotate very regularly but tend to go for Barry M and Avon because they don't chip.

4. most worn eyeshadow:
MAC shadestick in Beige-ing/Mac eyeshadow in Carbon/MAC eyeshadow in Phloof! Haha I picked 3!

5. most worn concealer:
I don't actually use a proper concealer really. If I have a blemish, I pop a bit of Benefit Some Kinda Gorgeous on.

6. most worn foundation:
Maybeline Dream Matt Mousse in Ivory in the winter when I'm pale, Benefit Some Kinda Gorgeous if I have a tan (which is bloomin' rare I tell ya!)

7. most worn (finishing) powder:
Benefit Get Even

8. most worn blush:
I never wear blush because I have such pinkish skin but I have just bought Benefit Sugarbomb which is a bronzer/blusher.

9. most worn bronzer:
MAC Belightful pressed bronzer.

10. most worn mascara:
Bourjois Volume Glamour Ultra Curl (black)

Do you use any of these? What are your thoughts on them?
