Gee Wizz Cosmo Blog Awards- Me me me!! Vote vote vote!!

Aloha Bloggerinos,

As I mentioned in my "News Just In" post earlier, Cosmo.co.uk are having their first ever Blog Awards. I know I asked before but I thought I ought to make a separate post to give it a bit more umph.

All you have to do (if you decided you would like to) is click HERE, pop my URL www.sprinkleofglitter.blogspot.com in the box and tell them why you are nominating me!

Obviously this is optional and I will still love you even if you don't, but I think I will luuurrvvvee (ooerr) you a little bit extra if you do. Thank you to all of those of you who already have, I really, seriously appreciate it.

When I first started this blog, I thought I would just witter about my little handmade craft projects and nobody would read. Then in January, I became a bit bored of only sticking to 50% of my life passions and decided I would see what the great big world thought of my witterings of my other passion- Beauty.

Well, it turns out that you do like my witterings and I can't tell you how much that has touched me. I don't like to get to heavy, but on a serious note, I feel privileged to be sent such lovely comments and be part of this blogging community.

Even if I don't get a nomination or award, I am glad Cosmo are doing it, because it has made me tell you how much I value you all. *sheds a little tear*.

I won't be too chatty for the next couple of days because of my hen do but rest assured, I will post pictures of that and my new hair on my return!

Toodlpip!

News Just In!

Aloha Bloggerinos,

I have just come back from the salon with blondey blonde blonde hair! Oh yes! It's my hen night tomorrow night *prays the girls haven't booked a stripper* so I thought I would give myself a bit of hair love. My hair is an absolute beast and is so thick that the hairdresser looked a little like she wanted to stab me with her comb after a couple of hours, mwahahaha.

(my arty eye- see below for reason!)

Now, I have a few bits of news so I thought I would moosh them all together like a News-Just-In-Hotpot.

Firstly, I have recently heard that Cosmopolitan have launched the 'Cosmo Blog Award', sponsored by the ever brilliant Collection 2000. They are calling upon all blog readers to nominate their favourite blog and I am calling upon my lovely Bloggerinos to click HERE and give me a mention. I kid you not, I would piddle my pants with glee if you did that for me, I would be touched (ooerr) and honoured! piddlepiddle

Secondly, I am starting up an ETSY shop! I have set it up but it needs tweaking and product pictures uploading. I wanted really pretty pictures and my chum Rob said he would do them for me. Rob has done weddings, portraits, arty pictures of the sea type things, 'real' shots of people, and now of course, my crafty bits. He will read this and be annoyed that I haven't described him very well at all, so Rob, I'm sorry!! Anyway, I will share a couple of pictures (scattered amongst this post) with you and of course point you to my ETSY shop when it is officially open, but if there is anyone in the Midland/Anglia type region and you would like a fantastic photographer, leave a comment and I will pass on his details. What he enjoys most (aprt from Photography bookings), is when you say his car looks like a panda. It's his fav.

Thirdly, thank you to everyone for their well wished for Mattmoo, who was in hospital this week. He is on the mend now and a happy chappy being so spoilt.

I think that's all for now lovely jubbly Bloggerinos. I'm off to do a few crafty bits for my shop and then get packing for my Hen Night! Woooo!! If any of you are out in Liverpool on Saturday, keep your peepers peeled and say "Aloha" to me!

Toodlepip!

Fun On The Underground

Aloha Bloggerinos,

As promised, here is my not-funny-at-the-time tale of the tubes for you to enjoy:

So, I caught the 7am Northampton-Euston train no problem. I was super sleepy on it and in a bit of a daze but was on it none the less. At Euston, I had to get the underground to Bank and then trot to my office. Simples.

(Image lovingly borrowed from weheartit.com)

I wasn't really thinking and was just being pushed by the crowds down to the underground and before I knew it, I was a bit lost. Naturally, this panicked me I had to trek about going against the commuter crowds in a bid to find the Northern Line and get sorted. I found it, boiling hot and in a race against time and the train pulled up with six thousand and forty people all crammed on. I decided that I couldn't handle having my face smooshed into some man's sweaty pit and that I would wait another 3 minutes for the next train.

Three minutes later it became quite clear that I was going to have to endure a bit of face smooshing if I were to get anywhere. Delightful. Whilst on the tin of sardines train, I tried to get my phone out my handbag so I could check the time (mental note:wear my watch more!). I rifled around in there but to no avail so threw my bag back over my shoulder and thought no more of it.

Off I hopped at Bank and felt secretly pleased that I had gotten there (many a time I have missed my stop/taken the wrong line etc). I wandered through Bank towards the exit, up five hundred escalators, down twenty nine walkways, round four hundred corners, and then at the ticket turnstile, a really short weathered looking woman said, in a VERY cockney accent, "'Scuse me lav, your skirt's stuck to your baaag and is hitched righ' up!". Oh yes Bloggerinos, the hem of my skirt was half way up my back, revealing my knickers and only tanned-half-way-up-thighs to all and sundry of the London Underground. Thank you so much fate, you have humiliated me once more.

Still though, the man behind me on the escalator didn't complain! haha!
