Seattle | Kerry Park

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

Yesterday I uploaded our first lot of Seattle photographs and your comments have been fabulous! You can scroll down lots or click HERE to take a looksie.

Today I wanted to share the snaps of Kerry Park with you. Marie suggested this location for a very mini meetup that I arranged on my Facebook Page just the night before and it was perfection.

The sun was shining, the view was stunning and the Sprinklerinos I met were so friendly.

Afterwards, I couldn't resist taking a few sweet shots of Marie and her gorgeous family. In time I'd like to get some of these printed I think.

A trio of gorgeousness. Scarlet was a dream to photograph.

 Sunglasses/Primark. Lace Bodytop/ASDA. Pink Skirt/Primark. Black Flats/Topshop.

Big thank you's to Marie's Husband Ryan, for taking the shots of Marie and I- I love them so much.

Have you ever been to this spot? Gargh I want to go back soooo much!!

Tomorrow - Playground Adventures and Family Fun.

Toodlepip!

xx

Seattle | Downtown and Pike Place Market

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

Ooooeeeee it's Friday night, the sun is setting, Baby Glitter is tucked up in bed and the TV is babbling on in the background. The perfect time to blog.

This week I have been 100% at home, with no travelling or big London days. It's been glorious. I have focused a lot of my energy into editing and uploading what I have lovingly dubbed, 'The Seattle Series', onto my second YouTube channel, Sprinkle of Chatter. You can watch that series HERE. It is 45 minutes all the way through, or you can watch 7 bite size daily chunks.

I also spent a blissful few hours editing the photographs we took out there. For those that are interested, I use a Canon EOS 70D camera body and for this trip we took a Canon EF 40MM f/2.8 STM lens. We went with that option because it's the most compact, so great for throwing the camera in your hand bag or baby change bag (like I do because I love keeping everything together). The only downside was that there is no zoom so you have to stand quite far back from things to get everything in frame. Little bit of tech chat for you there haha!

Since Seattle is so beautiful and there was so much to snap, I'm going to break the photos down into a three or four posts so you aren't overloaded in one go.

My little family before heading out to Marie's church.
Darcy : Rain coat/Next. Leggings/Baby Zara. Navy Boots/Baby Zara.
Matt : Blue Pumps/River Island. Tan Chinos/Topman. Checked Shirt/He forgot! Navy Blazer/Gap.
Me : Navy Flats/Primark. Print Dress/ASOS. Navy Cardi/Monsoon. Watch/Michael Kors.

I took a million pictures of Marie but I think this one is perfect. So relaxed and gently happy. Also, look at those pins!!
Marie : Navy Coat/ . Striped Ruffle Dress/ . Tan Belt/ . Sparkle Flats/ . (Today is Marie's birthday so she's out celebrating with her littles and Husband. I'll find out her OOTD deets when she is free to chat).

Trundling round downtown Seattle and chatting about nothingness was bliss.

Amerrrriiicccuuuhhh.

Mama Vlogging in action! You can check out Marie's YouTube Channel HERE

Once the window washers spotted us we were gifted with quite the acrobatic show!

The famous Pike Place market. Home of the first ever Starbucks and where parts of one of our favourite films, Sleepless in Seattle, was shot. We got really excited about that last part haha.

Matt looking dishy, as per.

Sweet colours.

The best bagels in town.

If you're a total smartypants you'll know which part of the vlogs this photo is from.

Watching gross fish be thrown about with the babelings.

Admiring the flowers. I could have photographed them all day.

Fitting crowns on princesses.

It's blurry but I love it. I was so, so, so happy in that moment. I wish I could time machine back over and over.

Admiring their apparel.

I love cities.

Especially cities with snow capped mountains on the horizon.

Ahhhhh gawwddd I love this city so much. I love all cities being such a city-girl but this one was special. It was clean, spacious, interesting and friendly.

We can't wait to return.

Up next, Kerry Park, family love and incredible skylines. Be still my beating heart.

Are you a city, country or suburban gal?

Toodlepip!

Internet Friends

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

If you are a follower of Sprinkle of Glitter or Sprinkle of Chatter on YouTube then this isn't a new story for you. However, if you are strictly a blogspot kinda gal, this might give you a warm fuzzy of joy.

Three years ago, whilst reading the comments on one of my latest videos, I stumbled across a comment that peaked my interest, clicked on the profile, fell instantly in love with the channel, emailed the lady who ran it and skip forward 36 months, she's one of my besties!

The only issue is geography. With her living in Seattle and me near London, we had to manage a long distance bromance (can ladies have a 'bromance'??).

Here is the story of how, this Easter, things changed.

If you are unable to view the embedded version, click here to go directly to the video.

Since uploading this video I have heard SO many similar stories of internet friendships. If you have one, leave it in the comments. I know I enjoy reading about them so bet others do too!

Toodlepip!
