Tuesday Tip :: Big Eyes

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

This weeks tip is quite possibly the first beauty trick I ever used and has served me well.

It's common knowledge that large eyes are seen as a sign of beauty and so over the squillions of years that women have been dolling themselves up with makeup, we have found techniques to create the illusion of wide peepers.

By putting a light colour (ivory, white, gold, shell pink for instance) in the inner corner of your eye and blending into your other maybe more vibrant eyeshadow, you will instantly add a 'Ping! Look how big my eyes are!' effect. Team this with the 75% eyeliner rule (eyeliner from your outer corner, only 75% along your eye, top and bottom) and you are all set to go in the Big Eyes Parade.

Seeing as this tip is such a goodun I'd be surprised if this is news to all of you. For those that is it, go forth and multipy enjoy shmexy eyes!

If you liked this Tuesday Tip, you might like last week's tip about Foundation on your ears, or the one about Blue Lipgloss. Yes, I did say blue. Haha.

Do you have any fantastic beauty tips you are bursting to share?

Toodlepip!

xx

  1. You look gorgeous Louise! My problem is, my eyes are BIG. Not bug standard though, haha. Applying mascara alone make them look huge so sadly, no eyeliner for me....unless I want to look like a bug. Which I don't. :) xx

  30. great tip :)

    actually if you add a white/cream/natural eyeliner on the lower waterline - you get a 'bigger' effect!!

    hope you find this tip helpful :)

  31. I also like using a flesh-coloured liner, works a treat. I use NYX pencil in 'milk' as a base nearer the corner and even if I'm doing a smoky eye, it lightens the shade a touch and makes my eyes look bigger.

  34. Good advice! I believe that white eye pencil doesn't look good on everybody but it helps when your eyes look tired.

  35. Your eyes are amazing! I'm definitely going to try this out :)

  36. very interesting article presentation. it is true that current media reading can be done anywhere not limited to books. but certainly if reading on the computer screen gives a bad impact for the long term.
