Baby Glitter At Two Years


Aloha Sprinklerinos,

It has become quite a tradition in the glitter household to take bi-annual 'proper' photos of Darcy. This week, whilst we still have a glimmer of Summer left, Matt, Clare (our most lovely family friend) and I drove to a local beauty spot and snapped away whilst Baby Glitter fluttered about enjoying all the attention.

As well as this fun little type-y print, I also save a 'clean' copy to have put into an album. 

I am really treasuring these last days of August and all the little joys it brings with it. I was particularly pleased that I managed to check something off my Summer Bucket List.

  4. Lousie, your Darcy is without a doubt one of the most adorable little girls ever! And I don't think my mom ever photographed milestones, but we do scrapbook on the regular. Or...we try to... But nothing special, just like, pool days and trips to the park. :)

  6. I love taking photos to remember milestones! I remember the photo my mam took of me and my brother on our first day of secondary school and it's absolutely HIDEOUS, and as much as I want to delete it from everywhere, it's nice to have something to look back on and remember every now and then! :-)
    Also, Baby Glitter is SO cute, she's adorable aw

  15. Aww, Darcy is such a little cutey. Taking lots of pictures is going to create some lovely memories for you. I love looking back over all of the pictures of me as a child (although I like to ignore a few hideous teenage ones!) and I think that the commentary around what she liked at the time of taking the photos is a really good idea!

  22. Aww this is a really cute idea, I think I'll do something like this when I have children :) Darcy's so cute and has changed so much! When I was little I had a birthday banner (which said how old I was and was my favourite character- I remember there being a teletubbies one) in the garden and I had a photo outside near that every year!

  31. Okay I and MANY of your readers are getting SICK of these stupid baby posts. We don't care about Dacry okay?! 1 or 2 posts every 2 weeks is fine, you write about Baby Shitter like EVERY TIME! SO its YOUR blog and you can write what U WANT but no one cares about Darcy!     6. First this blog is about beauty BABY and life there is no reason for you to say something like that to Louise. Second this is her personal blog. She can post anything in this blog. Third there are people who care about Darcy and think she is cute. Darcy is a lovely baby and many people will agree. Fourth before writing those insulting words to Louise you should haveseen hose people who doesn't care about advertising blogs. I have no interest in blogging myself so don't care about advertising at all. And this will be the same to some sprinklerinos.
      I love Louise's posts including ones about Darcy. I think Louise don't need to be pressured by people like you while leaving posts. Louise is doing this bevause she enjoys it. You have no right to say things like that.

  32. all my siblings birthdays are all in 3 weeks so when my brother turned 3 and my sister 13 she decided to have our family photos.
    She decided on them being local so when went to the beach and went into the sand dunes and it so nice and pretty and we had a lovely time!
    But that photo of Baby Glitter is so cute, will defiantly be starting this with my brother as he is still young and wont mind to much!

    My family used to document our height. I can't believe how much a grew between 14 - 15. - well actually, I can, because of the trips to the doctor for my knees aha

  36. I feel so amazed to see how much Darcy has changed, I can only imagine this affectionate sadness you have that she is leaving baby-hood and moving into child-hood! So many more happy things will come from Darcy no matter what the age I am sure, and I can't wait to see how you document them!

    I am currently loving the baby shots on pinterest which show the growth of baby from month 1 to month 2 etc, etc, I find it so motherly satisfying thinking I could be doing that one day!

  38. This photo is SO adorable! And I thank you for letting SO many people watch Darcy grow! It has flown by and I will know as my little girl is now 3! I love to take fancy photos of my little girl, just last weekend whilst we was at the beach I asked her to sit on the wall and took a photo from behind her looking out to the sea. of course i got a forward facing one too. Its SUCH a beautiful photo but I'm just to scared to share it with the world haha! its so nice for them to have to look back on aswell!

    I love all this photography, and this shot it just beautiful.

I've not started it yet, but when I feel like it's a good year to start (having a fiance/the year I get married for example), each year I'm going to make one of those albums from the online sites which is like a family year book and we'll keep them on a nice shelf in our house as a life story to look back on.
    I always think that facebook and the likes has begun to push aside the hard copies of photos, but I love looking back on them in a more traditional way.
