MAC Turquatic Fragrance || Beauty Review

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

Whilst in Covent Garden (London) a few weeks before Christmas, I popped into MAC to buy some false lashes and have them fitted for a party I was attending. As I sat have my eyes fiddled with (weird concept there), I decided on a whim to treat myself to a bottle of perfume that I remembered my friend Zoe ravving about a few years back.

I parted with my pennies and walked out with a brand spanking new bottle of MAC Turquatic and have been delighted with it ever since. The website describes it as, 'featuring anemone, lotus, orris and coriscan blue cedar' and I would describe it as light, feminine and sophisticated. Perfect for being a gal about town or flouncing into meetings with. It's not what I would consider a date night scent as it isn't very flirty but it is definitely going to become a staple piece in my collection.

Fickle as it may be, I adore the packaging of this perfume too. I have always heard from my Grandma, 'blue and green should never been seen', meaning the two colours fail to compliment each other but I think this sharp little bottle disagrees.

Turquatic is also stocked in a rollerball which is perfect for bags where space is a premium or for travelling- yay!

If you're a keen bean (which I do hope you are), you can see the day I bought this item in the video about. Skip to 8.06 to see it featured if you don't fancy watching the whole shibang.

What perfume are you loving at the moment? Anything I should consider? Or, do you not bother with perfume all together and think it's a frivolous waste? Tell me!

Toodlepip!

  2. I don't think its a frivolous waste, but I haven't tried any new scents lately. This seems nice, as I don't like heavy, fruity, flowery scents. The packaging is lovely! Oh, and I personally like bright blues and greens together.

  5. I love perfumes! I have about 4 in my collection at the moment. They are: Dot by Marc Jacobs, Vera Wang Princess (the original one), Lovestruck by Vera Wang (there's a theme here) + Sensuous Nude by Estée Lauder (it's rather spicy). If you get a wiff of them somewhere, let me know what you think!

  6. I really love the limited edition Disney fragrances Sephora has featured over the last few years. The Cinderella one is my absolute favorite & I even wore it on my wedding day, I also wore a Cinderella dress from an Alfred Angelo collection so it seemed quite fitting. Even though nothing else about my wedding had to to with Cinderella or Disney... :)

  7. I haven't tried Turquatic yet, definitely something to try eventually. I am currently loving Our Moment (yes that is the 1D perfume but it smells so good!!)

  8. Loving the green DKNY at the moment. It has a zingy, fruity smell and it's totally a daytime purfume

  9. I love wearing perfume- I feel weird and smelly without it (isn't it gross and weird how people from the 1700's used to drench themselves in it because they would almost never bathe...). It's definitely become part of my daily routine. Right now I'm loving DKNY's "apple a day" and a few of the Juicy Couture ones. I love going to the beauty counters at department stores and spraying them all but then I forget which one is which so it does me no good. :) x

Absolutely LOVE it!!!! Definitely worth a spritz the next time you're shopping in fragrances. Sweet but not overpowering, feminine but not flouncy.....I think it probably smells like what Beyoncé smells like. So there ya go.

I also noticed you love Viva La Juicy Noir and Gucci II (which I can't seem to find anywhere in the UK!) both of which are my favourites.

I think you'd love Fabulous by Victoria's Secret, Lavanila Vanilla Grapefruit, Be Enchanted by Bath and Body Works, La Petite Robe Noir by Guerlain and possibly Dot by Marc Jacobs. Yes, I am having an ever-so-slight fragrance moment as of late. xo
