NEW || The Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

I've spoken about it before - cleansing. We have a love hate relationship: I love cleansing, but rarely before bed #badbeautyblogger.

BUT, that said I've got a brand new addition to the family and boy am I excited to give it a whirl.

Let me introduce to you Clinique's sparkly Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush *catches breath*. We all know a girl loves a thorough cleanse and that's exactly what this little beauty promises.

If you're not familiar with the whole 'Cleansing Brush' concept, let me get you up to speed. In a nutshell it's an electronic toy (ahem) of greatness, aimed to gently exfoliate and deeply cleanse the skin, removing more dirt, makeup and oil than manual cleansing. You use it alongside a cleanser of your choice and the rest is history.

Sounds like a winner, right? Well, there's more...

Made up of two strengths of rounded bristles, the pale green are shorter, with angled tips to help you reach those pesky areas that are prone to excess oil and clogging of your pores, i.e. the terrible t-zone.  And secondly the white bristles, that are softer and less firm make it ideal for the more sensitive, delicate areas of the face. One of the first things I noticed about the brush was how unbelievably soft the head of the brush was, meaning it's probably going to be suitable for even the most sensitive of skin. Yay!

With a waterproof design, you can use it in the shower (always up for killing two birds with one stone, thank you very much!) and 3 hour battery life mean it's perfect for taking on trips away - which will be great for when I'm away in London as we all know we're prone to a dirty face in the big smoke!

Finally, the self timer shuts the cleanser off after 30 seconds - which is apparently the perfect amount of time to sufficiently cleanse your face. However, once your skin accustoms to the change you can up it to 1 minute - very snazzy.

  2. I've never bothered to look into anything like this as I always think they're overly priced and I feel like I'd never be bothered to use it! I can imagine the novelty wearing off quickly xxx

  3. I love cleansing brushes! I wanted to get this one sooo bad but its just ridiculously expensive. I bought the acne-free cleansing brush and its just as good for less than $20... I have a review on it on my blog actually www.mrstefee.blogspot.com . All it is is just a spinning brush, i mean how complicated can that really be LOL.

  4. Do you think this brush is better than the Clarisonic? Or are they equal?

  7. I keep seeing this pop up on all my favourite blogs and I would seriously adore one of these! I'm going to pop it on my cheeky Christmas list and keep everything else down to a minimal, this would be so therapeutic and a bit of a wake-me-up in the mornings!

  12. Hi Louise, I've never thought about using one of these before - they always seem a little weird/scary...Does it seem to genuinely make a difference? It seems like a good idea, and with some pretty good features. Thanks for the info, and great post as usual! x

  13. I think I saw this the other day when I went to get my cleanser from Macy's. My skin is so sensitive! Whenever I do clean my makeup off I break out! I don't clean it off every night but I can see the benefit in it. Because my skin is so sensitive I don't think I'll be getting this anytime soon, but maybe when I'm older and my skin's sensitivity hopefully changes I'll be able to use something like this!

PS. You may want to rethink your positioning of the creator post image, it was what showed up in Bloglovin' as it was first rather than your lovely photography!

  29. I could be very excited but with my laziness? I'd probably never use it so it's best I don't buy it. I'm good with just cleansing my face with a balm or makeup wipes, then a cleanser, then toner and moisturizer :)
