Motivational Monday || Goals

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

Merry Monday! How was your weekend? Refreshing I hope. Let's look toward the new week with positivity.

I saw this quote and it struck a chord with me. I spend a lot of time making plans and mapping out things I want to do. A lot of the time I actually see them through but of course there are still those things that continue to linger on the 'to-do' list.

This week I want to spend some proper time thinking about what I want to achieve (for example, I want to photograph all my favourite little streets in London with my big girl camera, I want to take time to visit my friend Faye in Yorkshire, I want to book a massage etc), set some time targets and do them!

It would be unrealistic to manage all of those in one week but my goal is to have them thought about properly and maybe booked in.

Is there anything in your life that you have been meaning to do but never have? Take this opportunity to make a note of them. Make a note and have a think about what steps you could take to make those plans a reality.

Your life will carry on plodding no matter what you do with it. You may as well fill it with happies, huh?

I'm off to google spas within a 10 mile radius!

Toodlepip!

xx

  1. Haha! Refreshing! The only thing that has been refreshing, was my eye cream this morning!

But yes, there is so much I want to do also! I might write a list and make it my priority for next year! Lovely post as always!

  4. I really love this quote. I think people spend too much time being angry, mean or stressed, but they forget that we're only here once and god knows how long for?! Don't you want to lead a happy life, full of adventures and love? Rather than being miserable, judgemental and mean? Anyway! That's my rant on the whole debacle! Lots of love sweetie. This is my first time commenting on your blog...how very exciting! <3

  23. Yay! I missed this little pick me up last week :) I have a notebook of thing I want to achieve in life and I've already crossed off a few including start my own blog. I'm so glad I did, I was ever complaining to myself for procrastinating but I haven't looked back. Saying that though, don't let it become your focus that stops you from doing what you want! If it means skipping a video or a post to go and do something, go do it :) Other goals on my own list include building my own home so I'm hoping to either climb the career ladder or win this Tuesday's lottery ^^. I hope your list isn't too big! tiny steps and don't overwhelm yourself with everything you want to do!

It's definitely so important to set goals and, whilst I'm writing my To Do list for the day, I always pop in a positive activity or goal for me to look forward to.

  31. Great post! Since Autumn started I've been watching to rehash my Holga medium format camera and go explore this huge, pretty cemetery near where I've recently moved to. I repeatedly kept trying to fit in into my diary and then crossing it out when I realised I had too much stuff to do that day/week. Yesterday I decided that that the leaves had nearly fallen and if I wanted to go and get some nice pictures I needed to just get on with it. So I finally went, explored and took loads of photos, and felt great for doing it. And guess what, all that other stuff I needed to do waited and the world didn't end! :)

  40. Thanks Louise :) We all need a bit of time to reflect sometimes - I find it helps to make appointments to review whether I've achieved tasks on my to do list too, so every three months I book an appointment in the calendar and review my goals and tasks. It helps me to reflect, update, change and generally recap my life goals (and smaller ones) and helps me see what I've achieved, focusing on the plus points rather than the things I didn't get done. P.S. I'm one of those people who has probably too many batiste and febreze days but I'm glad to know I'm not the only one! :) Much love Xx

  42. I really love this quote.
Every year I write a "to-do" list, but I always find myself achieving none of the goals. This year I tried to take it more seriously and I can't believe I have actually accomplished some of the goals, although it has been a little bit hard as I just began college.
It is always good to remember what you really want to achieve in life and work your way to it.
Thank you so much for this post!

I will try harder this week! I think it would be good to start out with a sketch a day~ Good luck with your photography, Louise!
