Aloha Sprinklerinos,
Merry Monday! A fresh week, a fresh start! Today I will be walking the red carpet for the Hunger Games movie premiere and I am beside myself with excitement- squuee!!
Today's topic is courage.
I don't always feel very brave, in fact, quite the opposite. I often need a lot of help from those closest to me. I lean on my loved ones a lot for reassurance and seek a lorra lorra comfort in them. Last week I opened up in a blog post about my fear of being out of my comfort zone and I felt brave for saying it.
Since I don't do a great many courageous things, I can't talk too much about it but this week I would like to encourage you to do something a little bit brave. Nothing major (unless you absolutely want to) but just a little tiny something. If it doesn't go well, try again. That's the bravest thing of all.
Wishing you all the most wonderful, courageous week and sending you big cuddles and sparkles.
Toodlepip!
xx
Today I have my first driving lesson and I'm not gonna lie I am really scared ! This post gives me some courage to push trough it ! I'm gonna make it - Thanks Louise ♥

You are the perfect role model for people. Being afraid isn't anything to worry about; feeling no fear is what is truly terrifying!
ReplyDeleteJen (aka ReelDork)
Courage! Thanks for this one Louise. I agree with Jen here. You have been a great role model for people. In many ways actually. Continue inspiring!

In September I started a 1 year intense teacher training course. Since I began it I've not enjoyed it at all. I've been so unhappy and my anxiety started to get really bad! Last week I was brave enough to admit that a teaching career just isn't for me and I walked away from my course. Even though the whole thing has been very upsetting I know I've made the right choice and I feel so much happier now! :)
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that I have sometimes too much courage and afterwards I wish I wouldn't have done some things :)

ReplyDeleteI did quite of a brave thing three months ago hen I decided to move across the ocean, away from France to the big and cold Canada. I think I'm done being brave for a while now.
This post is perfect for today!
ReplyDeleteMy 'friends' have made up an awful rumour about me, and I am scared to confront them about it, but this post has given me courage to do so tomorrow. :)
Ugh, I'm sorry they did that. I had my 'friends' do the same in middle school/Jr. High. Not fun at all. Let me know how it goes tomorrow. I really hope it turns out well! <3

Love Motivational Mondays! They really get me fired up for the week. Oh and I did something brave on Friday. I volunteered at my college's Homecoming Fiesta. I was terrified since I don't know anyone and was a little bit anxious before, but I powered through and I feel amazing for it. :)

Thank you so much sharing your wonderful and inspirational ideas with us, Louise. I definitely needed this little pep talk to get me through this week. There have been quite a few things in my life recently where I've just been like "Okay... I give up." Thank you for helping me realize that I should never give up on my dreams and that I need to have courage. Love you so much!

The Hunger Games?! Very jealous! I hope you have a lovely time and that it is as good as the book :)
ReplyDeleteI think that its sometimes the smallest acts of courage that make the biggest difference. A sentence can say an awful lot and a minute action can make a massive ripple.
Another lovely motivational post :)
That image you used is actually quite sweet and thought provoking! This post is perfect for me. I'm the type of person that needs to be pushed to do things because I'm quite anxious. Enjoy the premiere!

First, you are so uber lucky to be going to this premier, that is really exciting. Second of all, my courages act of the day was getting into a debate in one of my classes. I hate speaking in public but it was actually not as bad as I thought it would be.

Congrats on walking the premiere! I'm sure that will be a blast, and if it already happened I hope it was great!
ReplyDeleteI can relate to this post so much - I am really shy and sometimes it's so hard to come out of my shell and say anything that I want. I have a debate in class on Wednesday, so I think I'm going to try and actually talk a lot, and make my opinion heard!

We all think everyone else is full of courage and self confidence but having read some of these posts, it just goes to show that lots of us feel the same. Courage is feeling afraid but doing things anyway, a little at a time. My favourite saying is 'fake it 'til you make it'.
ReplyDeletePerfect quote!! Just what I needed today!
ReplyDeleteHave a lot of fun at the premiere tonight! ;)

ReplyDeleteHi Louise! I am a youtube fan and I pop over to your blog now and then... I am so happy that I stopped over today because I absolutely love this post!! I couldnt agree more with that quote, I may have to repost it somewhere I love it so much. I say that especially because I finally launched my own blog last week and I so nervous about it for no good reason, really. Louise, these motivational Mondays are really great. Even though it is not Monday, I feel motivated for for this week. I feel so upset at the moment. Everyone thinks that I can't do anything and that I am useless. I don't speak to anyone and I don't socialize! My life is such a mess! I do have good things in my life but the bad things always stay in my head!!! I have a dream, but it seems impossible and whatever I do for it, nothing seems to come out of it!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I needed to hear this I guess. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteGreat Advice! Terrifying, but great!
