Malaga In Pictures

Hello Glitterbugs,

If you read Monday's post then you'll know that last week I jetted off (oh that sounds so swish doesn't it) to Malaga in the south of Spain for a work thing which co-incided with a bit of site-seeing. The trip was a milestone for me because I booked everything myself and travelled alone (one of my friend's was out there so I wasn't entirely solo but the getting there part was all me) and I have some soon-to-be-conquered issues around trips away.

I went a little cray cray on taking photos and I wanted a place to document them all so here we go, a very picture heavy post! Unless you've seen these on my instagram, they are unedited. If I ever go back (I plan to) then I'm going to take my big camera and take some absolutely gorgeous shots but for now, it's quickie phone shots :)

The bar in my hotel was pink and curvy, my favourite things.

Everywhere you looked it was like you were in Kings Landing or some other exotic film location.

I'm completely unadventurous with food choices so this fish in cheesey goop was a big step for me. It wasn't disgusting.

Sangria. When in Rome Malaga.

Next time you go away, make sure to look up. Some of the most beautiful architecture is above your eye line.

Look how clean everything is. The flooring was tiled and shiney. It pleased me haha.

In every alley there are little eat outside tapas places. They're perfect for a snack/meal and a lot of good people watching. One thing I noticed in Malaga was how well dressed the children all were. Adults too but especially children. It's like they were permanently in their Sunday best. It was so cute.

I could watch fish for hours so it was a real pleasure to sit in the evening sunshine and watch these little fishies zoom about.

Pockets of art.

The courtyard at the Picasso museum.

The venue for LouiseLIVE 2017. Heh heh.

This is the kind of shop I wanted to spend hours mooching around in but sadly I had to rush for my flight.

How they fit this procession through this narrow alley way I do not know. Some kind of floo powder magic I think.

And there we have it. All the photos on my phone. Lovely.

I'm going to do more brave things like this and document them here. I'd love to hear your opinions on Malaga OR any other cute European cities you've visited that I should try out!!

Toodlepip!

xx

  5. That pink and curvy bar looks amazing, and so do all the other photos (how cute are those sea inspired decorations in the shop display)! I absolutely loved being in Malaga a few years ago, but I also recommend visiting Barcelona and Valencia if you haven't been there yet. If you liked those cities then I think you would like Florence in Italy as well. Great, now I want to go on holiday after thinking of those places, haha!

Hope you have a great day!

  12. The pics are amazing! Málaga is cool BUT next time, go to Barcelona. I'll admit that maybe is a little bit more crowded but I think it's worth it (although I am from there so perhaps I'm not being completely neutral) . Anyway, is the best os Spain: different arquitecture, the sea, amazing food... or just walking the oldest streets of Barcelona... worth it!

  25. Malaga looks absolutely stunning! I've recently been to Valencia (also in Spain) which your pictures reminded me of. It is is quite similar architecture- wise but it even has a beach very close by! Plus it's not as busy and touristy as Barcelona which do has great buildings and a beach but is quite busy... I also absolutely love Nice in France (buildings & beaches but in french) and Utrecht in Holland as a less busyier version of the beautiful city of Amsterdam!

  30. Well done Louise for booking everything yourself and travelling alone. Know how this feels as i've done the same, not recently but years ago when I travelled a few times to the UK from Australia on my own. Its nerve wracking but once you do it it's a huge boost in confidence. And once you've done it once it gets easier every time! You should be proud of yourself!

  38. Hi Louise,
just wanted to reach out to you, I have been watching your videos for around 4 years. Our daughters are the same age and I too have been a single Mum. I have always looked to your blog and your videos as a pick me up
    and general feel good binge.
I recently found out I had breast cancer and have just got home from
having a mastectomy. Firstly, I wanted to thank you for all the money and awareness you raised for breast cancer charity, when you dyed your hair pink. It's people like you that make it possible for medicine to advance and re
search to continue, resulting in better care, treatment and prognosis for those who get it.
I also wanted to share my story because my case was almost missed. I am only 28 and have no history of cancer in the family and my ultrasound sh
owed up as a fibroadenoma which is non cancerous. I chose to follow up myself with a biopsy which is how I got the diagnosis of Breast Cancer. It scares me that other girls may be in this position and don't follow up their results with a biopsy, when the doctors aren't concerned about the lump itself.
I have written a few blog posts about my story at http://art-love-fashion.blogspot.com.au/ which I hope will encourage people to start regularly checking their breasts, follow up any concerns and really make their health a priority.
You are an amazing woman who I have always looked up to and would love for your huge following and community of beautiful women to make checking their breasts a priority

    Love Hayley xx

  59. Occurrence of hair damage Kerave Hair is guaranteed whether or not you subject your hair to it. Hair damage is a natural process. If you do not take care of your hair damage, it may result into more damage as compared to those who do take care.

For Olive Skin: If you have olive skin tones, colors like burgundy, bordeaux, or shades of brown will complement your skin tone. Other shades like blue-black, ash brown or coffee colors are also suitable for olive skin. But we did live very near a small town, I cant remember the name, but it was beautiful. Every building was painted white and there were lots of shops, restaurants and places to visit. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed your holiday! :)
