Bacon Roll Morning Awards

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

This is a pretty cheeky post today. It's asking you to do something for me. Usually I do the opposite. I write posts and chatter away and try to provide a fun place for you to come and relax, and every now and then throw in something helpful to boot. 

Today though I wondered if I could ask you something?

Ever year Cosmopolitan Magazine run a competition where you can nominate and vote for you favourite bloggers to win various awards in different categories. I would be just pleased as punch to be nominated for the Established Beauty Blogger of the year Award. 

 

There isn't a prize (I don't think) and really there is nothing tangible about the whole thing, but to me it would

 just be a big honour to know that all of you Sprinklerinos like my glitter world and enjoy being such a big part of it. I'm aware that with all the super blogs out there that my chances of winning are pretty slim, but I like to be involved in these sorts of things and get excited anyway. Heck, I used to get excited in an old office job I had where on payday, the company would pay for everyone to have a free bacon roll. I don't actually like bacon but I liked that morning because everyone was caught up in a bit of joint joy, and this is what this is to the blogging world. It's bacon roll morning.

Gee Wizz Cosmo Blog Awards- Me me me!! Vote vote vote!!

As I mentioned in my "News Just In" post earlier, Cosmo.co.uk are having their first ever Blog Awards. I know I asked before but I thought I ought to make a separate post to give it a bit more umph.

When I first started this blog, I thought I would just witter about my little handmade craft projects and nobody would read. Then in January, I became a bit bored of only sticking to 50% of my life passions and decided I would see what the great big world thought of my witterings of my other passion- Beauty. 

Well, it turns out that you do like my witterings and I can't tell you how much that has touched me. I don't like to get to heavy, but on a serious note, I feel privileged to be sent such lovely comments and be part of this blogging community.

Even if I don't get a nomination or award, I am glad Cosmo are doing it, because it has made me tell you how much I value you all. *sheds a little tear*.

I won't be too chatty for the next couple of days because of my hen do but rest assured, I will post pictures of that and my new hair on my return!

News Just In!

Aloha Bloggerinos,

I have just come back from the salon with blondey blonde blonde hair! Oh yes! It's my hen night tomorrow night *prays the girls haven't booked a stripper* so I thought I would give myself a bit of hair love. My hair is an absolute beast and is so thick that the hairdresser looked a little like she wanted to stab me with her comb after a couple of hours, mwahahaha.

Now, I have a few bits of news so I thought I would moosh them all together like a News-Just-In-Hotpot.

Firstly, I have recently heard that Cosmopolitan have launched the 'Cosmo Blog Award', sponsored by the ever brilliant Collection 2000. They are calling upon all blog readers to nominate their favourite blog and I am calling upon my lovely Bloggerinos to click HERE and give me a mention. I kid you not, I would piddle my pants with glee if you did that for me, I would be touched (ooerr) and honoured! piddlepiddle.

Secondly, I am starting up an ETSY shop! I have set it up but it needs tweaking and product pictures uploading. I wanted really pretty pictures and my chum Rob said he would do them for me. Rob has done weddings, portraits, arty pictures of the sea type things, 'real' shots of people, and now of course, my crafty bits. He will read this and be annoyed that I haven't described him very well at all, so Rob, I'm sorry!! Anyway, I will share a couple of pictures (scattered amongst this post) with you and of course point you to my ETSY shop when it is officially open, but if there is anyone in the Midland/Anglia type region and you would like a fantastic photographer, leave a comment and I will pass on his details. What he enjoys most (aprt from Photography bookings), is when you say his car looks like a panda. It's his fav.

Thirdly, thank you to everyone for their well wished for Mattmoo, who was in hospital this week. He is on the mend now and a happy chappy being so spoilt.

3 Things I love about myself are (ooh it feels really wrong to boost about yourself!):

Numero One- I am not a judger. If you told me you like to shove hamsters up your bottom (please don't, the hamster will be annoyed), I would just say "Ok then". I don't like it when people are unnecessarily judgemental.

Numero Two- I love my blog! It's so therapeutic to write and all you lovely followers always say such nice things. Thank you.

Numero Three- I love my lips. They seem to be a nice shape and they like to kiss Mattmoo and the cat (on the head, not in a freaky cat lover way!)

Yowzas- 3 Awards!

I shall warn you now, this is a mammoth post! I have been very lucky this week (I'm going to start calling myself LuckyLou if this continues!) and have been give not one, not two, but THREE blog awards- hurrah huzzah! The awards given were 2 Sunshine Awards and 1 I Love Your Blog Award, so lets get cracking.

Now, when I was choosing who I would give awards to, I went through the blogs im currently following and pretty much picked them in alphabetical order (apart from the odd few that sprung to mind), so yes, this will look a bit odd but if you read the other award post too, it will all become clear, there is method behind my madness.

1. Zoella - Zoe is my favourite, favourite, favourite Beauty Blogger and it was her that inspired me to steer my blog from crafts (which I still love lots and lots) to makeup. Keep up the good work Zoe!

 

2. Moonbeamstarlight - I first found Ling on youtube because I do youtube videos too (woop woop) and instantly loved her. She makes me want to buy so much stuff dagnamit!!

3. Arabian Eyes - This lovely lady does a tres fancy trick with marbelled nails. I tried this and failed miserably so now I am extra wowed at her nail magic!

4. Raspberrykiss - I love this blog because there are lots of great bargainous reviews. I do love hearing about MAC, Illamasqua, Urban Decay etc and of course buying it, but I also love reviews about more affordable brands so this gets a real thumbs up from me!

5. ...oxfordjasmine... - I love this blog because she is very keen on animal cruelty free products and this is a good principle to have. 

6. ...Rainbow BriteNess... - Rena has just had the cutest little baby called Kristie, congratulations! I'm tres tres broody!!

7. Aimie's Beauty Blog. - I love this blog because all the posts are tres tres informative and tres long so it's a bloomin' good read :)

8. ....that's peachy - I tres much enjoyed Peachy's article about crimping, even though it gives me triangle hair, I have an odd desire to purchase some crimpers!!! Yikes!

10. Beauty Vibes - I love this blog because it has inspired me to depot EVERYTHING! Hahahaha xxxx
