Aloha Bloggerinos,

I'm just uploading a Barry M Collection video on YouTube and I thought whilst I'm waiting I would give you a quick update on Bella Sugar Cosmetics.

Do you remember a while ago I reviewed some eyeshadows from there and loved them? Well they are have a 40% off sale for Thanksgiving! Yabbadabbadoooo! I know here in the UK we don't celebrate it, but if there's a sale to be had, I'm game :)

All products are freshly handmade and have fantastic pigment. Click HERE to go to the etsy shop but if I were you, I would check out her blog because she has reeealllly good swatched of every colour going, plus more details on the sale- Bella Sugar Cosmetics Blog.

Happy Tuesday!

Lou's Reviews :: MAC Impeccable Brow Pencil

Aloha Bloggerinos,

So guess who found her camera wire!!?! ME!! It was in the lounge, so for all you who psychic brainwaved it's location- well done! Psychic Sally has nothing on you!

Rightyroo, on with the show.

I have been using the MAC Impeccable Brow Pencil in Dirty Blonde for some time now and can honestly say I will never switch to another eye pencil for as long as I live. I bloomin' well love it!

It retails for £10.50 and I think this is very reasonable for the following reasons:

1. I bought this about 3 months ago and have only had to sharpen it twice- it is VERY long lasting, which is always a brucey bonus in my books.

2. It is the PERFECT shade for my eyebrows. I have tried all sorts but this suits to a tee. I love that the colour indicator on the end of the pencil, is practically the same as the actual product colour. So often I feel duped by misleading colour indicators.

3. The texture is creamy, not oily or chalky and had a matt finish, so blends very well to give a natural look. Who wants unnatural eyebrows?!

4. Similar to point 1, it is very looooooong. As far as makeup pencils go, longer is always better- ooer misses!

Here's me banging on about the colour being the same at both ends and I have shot it in different lights and it looks different- why I call myself a beauty blogger I do not know! Jeez!

The packaging, like all MAC products, is sleek and sophisticated and something I am proud to have in my collection. I love that the black paint on the pencil is matt, rather than sheeny shiny, it feels more demure this way.

So, here are my brows. Please note I have no foundation or powder on, just Dream Cream (no I'm not a sweaty betty).

Naturally, my eyebrows are light brown/dirty blonde and a bit sparse. I think it is just a paranoid thing but I feel that they are a little "bitty". I use the Impeccable Brow Pencil to fill in the gaps and look a bit less bitty. I try not to go overboard so as to keep it natural and light.

Naked eyebrow:

MAC'd up eyebrow:

Do you think there is a difference or is it all in my head?

Lou's Reviews- Bella Sugar Cosmetics 18 Colour Palette

Aloha Bloggerinos,

Sorry I have been a bit lax on the bloggeypops front, I have had one heck of a week. I went to London on Tuesday and was meant to stay and go back into the London office on Wednesday but Mattmoo was rushed to hospital in an ambulance after collapsing so I had to come home and cut my trip short. It was all a little manic but this morning he was discharged and is on the mend- phewy! I won't go on about it because it was all quite upsetting and this is a place of joy and sparkles.

So moving on, last week I had a luurrvvveeelly package sent through the post- my BELLA SUGAR COSMETICS  order!! Woop!! I had taken full advantage of her rather generous 50% sale last month and wowee I'm glad I did.

It had taken a little longer than usual because I customised some colours myself and Patricia had to order in the glitter especially- what other company would do this for you?! None that I know of.

I had ordered the 18 shadow palette, and I think it's love. Seriously, love. I feel like I'm cheating on MAC and Urban Decay but my Bella Sugar lust has over ridden. Before I show you the pictures, let me just give you a slight testimony to this palette: When I went to London, I took only this. Usually I would take at least one UD Book of Colour and maybe a couple of glitters for choice, but oh no, I just took my BSC's gem. Also, it's my hen weekend this in 2 days in Liverpool, and I will ONLY be taking this!! Woah.

So here it is in all it's splendor:

So here are some things I love about my new baby:

1. Patricia remembered that my last palette was in a pink floral theme and she gave me the same one this time. Now, I know if I had asked then she would have given me another, but I just think it's cracking customer service that she remembered. I feel like I have been really thought of and cared for.

2. I got to choose all the colours myself, so I know I will love every single one. Sometimes when I buy a palette I love a few, like a few and one or two I will never use, but this is 100% love.

3. I custom designed 3 of the colours myself and named them LouLou (me- how conceited eh), Tiyana (my little sister and bridesmaid) and Charlotte (my best bud and also my other bridesmaid). More on these later.

4. I have moved the bottom shadows a bit and you can see that there is a little 'name map' of which shadows are which. There was already one on top, but this could be easily lost, so I was pleased there was another for my reference.

5. Just like MAC, all the shadows are magnetised, so if you wished, you could change them around or if you finished one very quickly, you could replace it without having to replace the whole palette- very economical.

6. You can't see it but under the loose colour map there is a sizable mirror, perfect for application on the go.

7. I threw this in my handbag on the tube and the magnets were strong enough to keep it closed so as not to get shadow all over my bag insides. ('funny' story about my tube adventure at end-cringe!).

8. This is by far the best point- THE PIGMENT IS SENSATIONAL. I had to apply this with my fingers the other morning (I stayed at my chum Ian's, and he gave me about 20 nanoseconds to get ready so it was a quick finger swipe and go!), and even without a brush or primer, the colours looked amazing. I can do swatches if you like, but Patricia already has them on her blog which is linked above.

9. There are a variety of textures and finishes- duochromes, satin, matte, sparkly, shimmer. *drools*.

10. All the prices for BSC products are incredibly reasonable. I'm starting to think that for eyeshadows, maybe MAC is not the way...

These pictures don't do the colours justice so puurrlleeaassse have a look on her blog for more images.

I also ordered a single of Tiyana and Charlotte to give to them as a thank you after the wedding. Look closely at the pot...Patricia put confetti sparkles in it!!! Hehehehe!

I was also kindly sent a sample of BSC Golden Glimmer Lip Balm. I have used it a few times and would compare it to the LUSH Lip Balms but with less scent. I like this because I'm not much of a lipbalm gal because I often find the smell a little overpowering. This has the balance just right. I'm not sure if this is the sample packaging or actually packaging but I really like it, it's so dinky you can slot it into your coin purse and jobs-a-goodun!

If you would like anymore info, just give me a shout. For links to BSC Website and ETSY Shop, have a looksie at Bella Sugar's blog and treat yourself to something lovely :)

Have you tried anything from Bella Sugar Cosmetics? What did you think?

Am I seeing things??

Aloha Bloggerinos,

No, I haven't turned into a nature nut (although I do like flowers, the countryside, pretty lakes and whatnot), but I HAD to take this picture! As soon as I saw this flower I thought "MAC Stars 'n' Rockets" and "BELLA SUGAR COSMETICS Princessy".

Excuse me, but is it normal to stop seeing the world in colours and seeing it in eyeshadow shade?!

Uh oh.

Lou's Reviews- Bella Sugar Cosmetics Pressed Shadows

Aloha Bloggerinos,

As previously mentioned, the lovely Patricia from Bella Sugar Cosmetics, kindly sent me some of her hand made cosmetics to review.

Before I was sent these products, I asked a little bit about how the company began and what it's all about. Patricia was tres helpful and told me her story.

Patricia lives across the pond in America with her Hubby, baby boy and little 2 year old girl (whom she calls 'Sugar' as a pet name but her real name is Bella, hence the name-cute!). Patricia was, like so many of us are, a MAC addict. After she got married, and her husband saw how much just a single eyeshadow cost, she decided she would make her own. After a while, people started asking where her fab eyeshadow colours were from and suggested she sell them. So here she is! Selling her eyeshadow singles, palettes and shower jellys on etsy and her website.

All the colours are custom made, so if you told her you would like a mint green with silver sparkles, ooorrrr that you wanted a MAC satin taupe dupe, she would make it for you! Wowzas! The bit that really excited me the most was that she names new colours after the people that request them. So in my palette there is a colour called 'Casey', named after a girl called Casey (what a surprise!) who asked for a MAC stars 'n' rockets to match her prom dress.

These shadows are amazing! Gaillardia is a peachy/pink which a golden shimmer, Casey is a MAC Stars 'n' Rockets dupe as pre mentioned, Sun Sparkle is a gorgeous gold that will be perfect as a shadow or even slightly dampened and used with an eyeliner brush for under the lower lashes to create a 'sunny' look, annnnndddd Bella Sugar is a beautiful pink, which Patricia says is the colour of her daughter's nursery-awww.

The shadows have excellent pigment and the lasting power is incredible. You can buy singles from her etsy shop for $6.00 (about £3.50-£4.00) or you could have four in a palette like mine for $22.00 (abbboouuuuuutttt £15.00ish). Personally, I think this is a bloody steal when you think that the quality and size is as good as Urban Decay and MAC and those palettes cost a bloomin' fortune!!

(ggrrr blurry! Sorrryyy!)

I know I'm going on a bit but there is one more AAAMMMMMAAAZING thing about this product. You can even customise the palettes!!!! If you look on her etsy site (I'll link it below), you'll see loads of cool designs, but if you email Patricia, you can ask for whatever you want! I cannae bloody believe it! Patricia noticed I have a love of florals and pink, hence my gorgeous palette and I absolutely love having a product that hardly anyone else in the world has :)

This is truly the first product in a long time that I have got so excited about and I really do encourage you all to have a look on her etsy shop and follow her blog for product updates. In a few years when she's as popular as MAC, you'll all be wishing you got in there first! haha

I can't thank you enough for these gorgeous items, Patricia. I wish you every success with this brilliant business. xxxxx

Lou's Reviews- Shower Jelly by Bella Sugar Cosmetics

Aloha Bloggerinos,

I have been kindly sent some products by Patricia from Bella Sugar Cosmetics and this is my honest (as usual) review.

The first product I shall rave about is the huge tub of shower jelly I was sent. This product is very similar to Lush Shower Jelly but with the unique selling point that the jelly is portioned into little individual hearts that last for 2 washes if you tear it in half. I went crazy this morning and had a whole heart for one shower- Wowzas! What you have to do is smoosh (technical word there Bloggerinos) the heart into your shower puff/flannel/whatever washytypey thing you use and go! Simples!

The tub I was sent was HUGE! Her etsy shop says it has 21-24 hearts in it so that is a lot of showers. The tub retails at $7.00 which is about £4-5 for us British gals.

My jelly was "Milk Chocolate" flavour and as you can see from the picture, the hearts were a dusky purple with flecks of minty green glitter. I used this yesterday and today and I really enjoy it. The scent is very clear but not overpowering and lingered quite a while. It lathered easily and because of the portion control element, I didnt feel like I was wasting any, like I often do with Lush (it was a sad day when i ripped too much off and it slithered out my hand and down the plug hole. RIP Whoosh Shower Jelly).

I will defo be trying out the other flavours (there are LOADS on her blog and etsy show) and will be recomending this to all my chummies.

Here are a the Bella Sugar Cosmetics links if you want to find out more. Even if you don't make a purchase, I strongly suggest following her blog for updates on new items and to discover the super cute reason behind the company name :)
