Aloha Sprinklerinos,
Today is Sunday. A day of rest, reflection and ambitions for fresh starts and new things in the coming week.
I always have a little think about what I aim to achieve in the upcoming week and what meetings or appointments I have on. I also try and think about deeper things I want to do, like show more appreciation to Matt or be more peaceful etc.
I thought that maybe this is a practise I could also translate onto my blog and every week (if you like it), we can have something that we all collectively strive for, to better our lives or ourselves. Nothing major, just small attitude adjustments.
So, naturally, I turned to my addiction- Pinterest.
These are the words of wisdom that I am going to try and live up to. I'll get back to you and let you know what situations I put these to use in and in turn, if you would like, you can tell me what you did too. If you don't want to share here, you can chat to me on Facebook or Twitter too.
Do you think you can add this to your life?
Toodlepip!
xx

That's inspiring! i know what you mean - like everyday can be new years day if you want it to be! Sometimes I find myself making resolutions in March or April - I also love the feeling of 'becoming a better me'. But it's pretty hard to stick to!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration though Louise because you reminded me that this week doesn't have to be negative (I have exams) but I can look at things postively!!

DeleteI'm totally addicted to Pinterest myself and I love looking through all the quotes on there. Makes me feel that little bit more inspired :) I think this particular quote could be relevant to so many things in life. In any situation it's all about taking a leap of faith :)

That's a great idea, I think it's so easy to be negative when you don't need to be. I have exams coming up this month so I'm going to think that if i work hard they will go really well, rather than assuming I will fail! Thanks Louise :)
ReplyDeletesuch a lovely saying to follow and a really good idea that you have too!

This is something I already do. My husband once told me he admired the fact that I look for the positive things and it isn't to the point where I can't handle negative things. It is a huge compliment for me :)
ReplyDeleteHaha what a coincidence, I'm reading this whilst typing a post about positive thinking! I really like this quote :) and I have to agree, people always make resolutions on New Year's but you don't have to wait till next year to change them or change your attitudes :) Stay positive!

Love that quote! Such a positive start to the week :)

I look like an acne factory! This has made me think more positively about the week :) Thank you! X

I love this! I think people need to understand that it's not just a new start for a new year. It's a new start every day. If people stopped regretting the past and looked forward to the future, I'm sure the world would be a better place!
ReplyDeleteThis is definitely something I need to do, it's hard though. Damn pessimism! x
ReplyDeleteI am trying so hard to be more positive this year! So far so good, I wake up feeling better and go to sleep feeling better :)
ReplyDeleteGreat quote. I need to add more positivity to my life.

I don't normally comment, but I had to today. The "wise words" are exactly what I needed to hear\read today. We are just about to start our 2nd & final attempt at IVF after the first ended in a miscarriage. I am literally driving myself insane thinking of everything that can go wrong. But I am going to make a big effort to change my attitude, even if it's only once! Thanks!

Wow....this has helped me so much. I am the most stressy person on earth, and I think I may try to be more of an optimist now. I have a mock exam on Wednesday, and from now I' m going to focus on remembering the things I' m good at. Also both your ' Being Happy' and ' Body confidence' videos had a similar effect.
ReplyDeleteHope you and baby glitter have a fantastic week x
Thank you for the wise words, great quote to start each day with!
ReplyDeleteI used to wake up every morning and read Christian D. Larson from The Secret. They are really inspiring words and I'd recommend them to anyone who needs to start a fresh day with a bit of a soul boost!

ReplyDeleteI need to take on your advice for this. I am terrible, I always see the worse situations that can happens in life which is horrible. I am a rather jolly person and as soon as I get settle down on my own I start to think about everything that could actually go wrong. It's horrible, it puts me in such anxiety crisis. I need to stop this and start LIVING :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck Louise, thanks for your thoughtful posts.
Lilly.
This is one of my new years resolutions. I'm so happy you posted about this!
ReplyDeleteaww this is such a lovely post! I myself tend to worry about stupid things a lot and a cute little post like this reminds me that going up and talking to be people can be good thing and they won't necessaries think I'm a creep :)x
ReplyDeleteThat's actually a really meaningful quote right now in my life. I'm such a pessimist and can spend forever thinking about what can go wrong. So something for me to try is to just think positive!
