Happy Mint Hares


Aloha Sprinklerinos,

Before Christmas, on one of my many jaunts through ASOS (an online clothes shopping haven), I stumbled across a bag that embodies everything I look for in a piece of arm candy and snapped it up quicker than you could say, 'Shouldn't you be saving for a holiday?".

ASOS Mint Hare Bag


Oh hello beautiful mint green bag with (faux) gold hardware, tassel and a embossed hare detail.


This bag is described as a 'Tassel Bowler Bag" but in my humble opinion it should be the Mint Hare Bag- far more whimsical. 

Retailing for £35 for not real leather, I do think the pricing is a little steep. However, the fact that it is mint & gold, has forest animal detailing (I have a love of woodland creatures), is large enough to fit all my mummy junk and regular stuff in it, can be held with short handles or long straps and has a tassel....well that makes up for it for me.


This bag is just what I needed to brighten up a grey January and look forward to Spring with. I tend to wear a lot of pastels and florals from about February-August, so with any luck, this will see me through. 

I haven't had an opportunity to take it outside a lot and really road test it so at the moment, on the durability front, the jury's out. I've never had a 'big bag' from ASOS before so I can't even look back and compare, but based purely on aesthetics, I LOVE IT!

What do you think? How much do you allow yourself to spend on a 'big bag'? I think my limit is about £60 if it's very, very special. Let me know in the comments, I'm interested.

    Such a lovely bag and very you! I'm all about big bags (so I can fit baby/mummy junk too!) £50 is probably around the most I'd spend, but even then I've got to absolutely love it! I'm a bit of a handbag fiend, so I don't really see the point of spending a lot, as I change them over on what seems like a weekly basis!

    I love that bag it's very nice!!!
    The most I've ever spent on a Big bag has been £80 that was real leather though and it's lasted me years so I figure several years and quite alot of use it was definitely worth the money for it :-)

    I think that this is a very gorgeous bag, especially for the upcoming spring season! I don't really splurge on expensive bags because I know I'm a master at breaking them at some point. I will buy a more decent bag in the future though!

    Oooh, gorgeous bag! I have a thing for rabbits as much as a thing for bags so this combo is amazing! The colour's very pretty too. The most I've spent on a bag is £150, I'm not sure if I'd go above that. I do like to buy cheaper bags too though, such as my current bag which is a Primark £3 spotty bag which is so cute. :-)

    Hi Louise. I have just seen your newest video on YT and as I do not have a YT account myself so this is the only way I can communicate with you :)

    Recently, I really got bored with super fancy YT videos where everyone`s perfect, recording in a proper studio with professional lights. I always thought that YT is for fun but nowadays everyone tries to be the best. There is no added value to the videos except someone`s editorial skills.

    Your videos are completely different and therefore I like yours so much. You present us with love, respect, fun and everyday life which I love. Please recorde the odd, old fashioned, completely normal videos where you only chat, chat, chat:)
