Aloha Sprinklerinos,
With the festive season safely tucked up in bed and a big family holiday to save up for this year, I'm trying very hard to curb my spending. It's boring I tell you!
In a bid to quench my beauty thirst, I have created this visual wish list of nail products I'd love to own.
All the products in the collage can be found on BeautyBay, accept from the Dotting Tools from eBay, which I accidentally just placed a bid on. In fairness, they were only £1.38!
I flip flop between pastels and neons like nobodies business. For months I'll be obsessed with mints, pinks, peaches and greys and then all of a sudden, out of the blue, I'm enchanted with anything luminous. My nails are terribly fickle.
What nail colours and products are you utterly obsessed with at the moment? Do you ever go bare?
Toodlepip!
xx

Those Essie colors are stunning! I flip flop between pastels and neons too. Whatever fits my mood, really!
ReplyDeleteI'm obsessed with the Avon nail strengthener - I tried my mums and LOVE it! As for the dotting tools, it's just as good and more beneficial (costwise) to make your own xo
ReplyDeleteHi Louise! I'm exactly the same! I can't decide whether it's too early to start wearing pastel colours on my nails! I always associate them with spring! You're a huge inspiration to me! Seriously you were the person that made me really want to start my own blog! In the video you did with Zoe about blogging tips when you said you had only 69 followers on your 6 month anniversary of sprinkleofglitter, that's what spurred me on to start my own because it showed to me it is possible to get somewhere and reach people with a blog because look at you now! I love blogging so much and i would really appreciate it if you could take a look at mine for me, it's not that polished or anything right now but i've been working hard to make it the best it can be. I know you probably get hundreds of these requests a day but you and Zoe from Zoella inspire me so much! Thank you and good luck saving!

I have those dotting tools, they're really good. I love all of the OPI colours, they're really pretty c:
ReplyDeleteI have a constant obsession with pastels or really dark colours.. both very drastic differences, so I totally understand where you're coming from! hahaha. And I could never be bare enough to go brave, I can't stand not seeing pretty colours on the tips of my fingers xx
ReplyDeletehttp://www.glalamorous.blogspot.ca
Ohhhh I wish I'd never tried essie nail polishes... They've ruined all other nail polishes on me... Absolutely love them - the colour range and consistency is just perfect! I can't stand having "naked nails". Am just starting to come out of my dark winter colours and am going for some pastels already! Hurry up spring time!!
ReplyDeleteThose nail pins look great and what a bargain! Love the essie and opi polishes as well

I'm trying to curb spending as well and yes, definitely boring lol! I definitely tend to be drawn to anything pastel and lately, anything matte! (Or putting a matte top coat over everything!) Lol and glitter top coats as well :)
ReplyDeleteI'm in the market for a new dotting tool as well! I love the pastel, and minty colors!

P.S. Don't forget to check out my giveaway. :)
Every time someone talks about dotting tools I feel an urge to get them! I'm also the type who alternates between pastel and neon colours frequently, and right now I'm loving neons. Sometimes I go bare when I want to let my nails breathe for a bit, or when I'm too lazy to paint them.
ReplyDeletePS. I've been following you for a while now, almost a year, but have never commented. I'm going to start commenting more often so you know how much I enjoy your posts!
Love them all!!!!! I'm saving for a holiday too...painful!!!

OH! Models Own have a nail polish just like the Deborah Lipman one! Also, I have to go with my nails bare because of the damn school uniform policies... But, I'm going to be in 6th form in september so can wear all the colour I want!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'd love if you guys checked out my blog on all things teenage! :D

I haven't had naked nails in almost 2 years...it feels weird and well, naked, when my nails are naked. It doesn't feel right.
ReplyDeleteI recently tried glitter nail polish and whoa, it's a NIGHTMARE to remove! But the sparkly-ness makes up for it :)
I find myself going through phases where I paint my nails no matter how busy I may be and others where I just can't find the patience for nail painting and just prefer to go bare. I think it's because a few summers ago, I CONSTANTLY had polish on and it ruined my nails. The top layer of my nail would chip off and it was just a mess! And I realized that it's always around the same times of the year that I wear polish/don't as the year of the horrid nails. But, hands down, Essie is my absolute favorite when it comes to polish! My mom swears by OPI, but I haven't used it enough to compare it to Essie.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I'm new to your blog (not to you though, I've been following your youtube goings on for months now) and it is absolutely ADORABLE! I love the design, simply gorgeous. :)
Cheers!

I love this! I'm a little obsessed with nail polish, so I love to try different colours out - thinking of trying a few neons next! :)

I just bought two Christmas sets of the Mavala nail polishes which were in the sale for less than the price of on of their single polishes. Not bad considering there is 3 in each pack. I also love glitter polishes and I managed to get hold of the limited edition one that Barry M did for Superdrug this year which even has a green sparkly lid.
ReplyDeleteI love Deborah Lippman polish - it is rather expensive but the colours are so beautiful! I'm a nail polish chameleon as well, I set up a dedicated section for it on my website it got so bad!
ReplyDeleteClare x www.sparklysexycool.com

since it is summer in Australia i am totally obsessed with bright colours for my nails, i am especially loving my vibrant Essie pink colours. I am currently wearing 'No Boundaries' paired with a single nail (the one next to the pinky finger) which is painted in a pastel colour 'Neo Whimsical'. And i also love to wear bright glittery nail polish especially this purple one i have (called 'be-jeweled') which i paint on top of the Essie 'Neo Whimsical' colour, i call this combination of mine Princess Nails because it looks really pretty and girly and I LOVE IT SO MUCH. I love nail polish, it is one of my most favourite things :D
ReplyDeletethat outrageous neons set looks gorgeous! I love their sets because they're fairly cheap and even though the bottles are small I don't really mind because I'd never use a whole bottle anyway!

My favourite nail varnish at the moment is Essie's Mint Candy Apple! I know it's winter and we're all meant to be wearing the oh so boring burgundy, but I find the pastels make everything a touch more summery :) x

I have a thing for purple polishes right now. And as always glitter. Can't stop buying them. It is a lot cheaper to order OPI and Essie from Transdesign :-)
ReplyDeleteLove all of these nail polishes! I'm restraining myself on the nails front until I grow my nails out a bit more (New Year's Resolution!). I hope you feel better sweetie, you definitely deserve the dotting tools (and everything on the list frankly) after being so poorly in the holiday period :(

ReplyDeleteI did cheat slightly and order something online, but I needed a super fine powder to set my concealer with! That is a necessity is it not? Keep it up!

ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I almost never wear nail polish because I find it chips so quickly and I am usually interrupted by my babies. I also am not very good at staying within the lines, so to speak. I do love nail polish though, I would like to get better at applying it!

Love the Ciate shade, really wanna buld my collection of Ciate nail polishes had my eye on there "Apple And Custard" shade for ages!
ReplyDeleteabrunettesbeautyblog.blogspot.com
Recently I've been wearing a lot of glittery/sparkly nail varnishes but that's probably just due to the festive season. I'm sure I'll be back to pastels/ice cream colours in no time. Unfortunately for school I'm not allowed to wear nail varnishes so I just wear a clear coat but as soon as I get home on a Friday the nail varnish is back on until late Sunday haha. My favourite brand at the moment are Barry M nail varnishes because they don't chip much but my Dad bought me a box set of Fearne Cotton's nail varnishes from her boots range and they are such a lovely array of colours and they are all really easy to apply so I reccommend trying them.

I have long, oval shaped nails, so I tend to stick with classic red, or a very dark green or black polish. I've been in love with neon colors lately though, especially yellow. I never let them go bare, they always seems to be more vulnerable to breaks. xx

Hi Louise! I've been following you on YouTube for a little bit but this is my first time commenting on your blog. I hope you're feeling better and resting up after your health trouble over the holidays - I'm just glad to see you continue to bring lots of positivity and glitter into the everday (perfect lighting be damned lol)!
ReplyDeleteAs for the nailpolish discussion at hand, my nails have total ADD as well! In fact I think the most difficult decision I make all week is what colour to paint my nails. I don't usually do neon, but I flip flop between pastels and dark (like essie' wicked or licorice).
Good list. I like the Deborah Lippman polish. But it's hard to take off.

ReplyDeleteModels own is my go to brand - the colours are so affordable and there is such a wide range. I am a medical student, so polish on my fingers is a no-no during the week (sad face), however, I am enjoying fluro orange by Models own on my tootsies at the moment. It makes me happy when my naked fingernails make me sad.
