Aloha Sprinklerinos,
A few weeks back (maybe I need to do 2 lifestyle posts a week to fit them all in?!) our church held a community day in our local park. It was where ours and a few other churches got together, talked, ate ice cream, listened to music, socialised and kiddies ran about in the sunshine. It was lovely.
A little bit obsessed with this pleated emerald maxi skirt.
I love this shot because it has Ben (my new little step brother, who I'll properly introduce one day) and Norman (the nicest, most interesting man from our church EVER) in it. Little nothingy fact for you there!
My up and my down in the family tree.
Hollie (my new little step sister).
In the last few months I've experienced some amazing, luxurious things but days like this always top them. Days when you're close to your nest, feel loved and valued by the people you share it with and feel content with your lot.
For the first time in a long time I feel like our family is working. My Dad has a new girlfriend who has 2 children and is like a breath of fresh air. She values family and fun above appearances and protocol and I feel like her ethos has spread to us all and we are all really enjoying life. In an ideal world my Dad would have found her right after my Mum passed away, but alas, we has 20 years of bleaugh to make us so much more thankful for what we have now. I'm so glad that hers and Darcy's arrival coincided too.
From a not-normally-into-Summer person, I'm enjoying this season far more than I should. It's making me feel all kinds of happy.
What do you plan to do in the next couple of months? Please give this winter-lover some sunny ideas!
Toodlepip!
xx

Louise, I'm so happy to hear that your family is coming into a beautiful place of it's own. :) I think it's a wonderful thing when two different families can come together as one, it makes you really appreciate the little things & the brilliance in the moments that we sometimes would otherwise miss.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your life with us, from beauty to baby it has been a joy to find you & see these precious moments of your life. :)
Love that first picture! Darcy looks so small compared to the gat & building - cute! Love the emerald colour of that Maxi skirt too! I'm also so jealous of the ice creams, they look delicious! Haha

After reading a couple of your posts about making time for days like this I have ensured that at least once a month my boyfriend and I do something fun like this either by ourselves or with friends. A couple of weeks ago friends of ours rented a boat and we had a proper little picnic on the Thames. Lovely post and that skirt is AMAZING!

Exactly what I needed to read today was in your message. It felt as though you were speaking to me specifically. We appreciate you sharing your wisdom and experience with us. I want to share the most recent article I read with you about CPS Counter. I've had better outcomes in my favorite games by using the CPS test.
ReplyDeleteYour post is incredibly motivating! I value the time you spent reading, thinking about, and creating this essay. It was beautifully written and quite instructive. Our Philip Lawrence Net Worth article might be of interest to you as well. It is thought that Philip Lawrence has a net worth of about $8 million. Through his work as a songwriter, singer, and producer, he has accumulated tremendous money.
