A Bit-a Glitter News

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

I don't always share my YouTube videos on here, but realised that a lot of you may not check your subscription boxes or simply may not be YouTube folk, so I shall endeavour to embed them in this little slice of the web more, so that it's nice and easy for us all. Hurrah!

If you are struggling to watch the embedded version, click HERE to go to my channel. Whilst you're there, feel free to subscribe :)

This video was a bit of a bummer actually. I have decided not to add Baby Glitter into any of my videos anymore after feeling it wasn't a safe environment for her. I removed the videos she had been featured in but decided to leave my blog images of her, I just won't upload anymore that display her face.

I have been overwhelmed by the amazing support I have received regarding my choice and have felt such warmth from this magical little community, so thank you so much for that.

Happier posts tomorrow I promise!

Toodlepip!

xx

  2. baby Glitter is lovely and I'd rather her be safe and happy than possibly hurt (or you hurt by things people say about her for that matter). Tough choice, but I think you made the right one :)

  4. gonna miss baby glitter, but i respect your choice, cause the web is a scary place i suppose. Love your videos they honestly never ever fail to make me smile and when im feeling down i go on and watch a old video. 5. HAww me and my daughter will miss Baby Glitter, but i totallllly understand where you are coming from. i remember making a youtube for my daughter, uploaded one video and then turnt it private because i was soo paranoid and scared of someone trying to act like she was theirs and stuff. i have my own blog, and i have a few photos of my daughter on there, but have written my email over them so no-one can really take them. maybe thats an idea for you if you ever wanted to put one up of a fun day you might of had. But i most deffinetly understand where your coming from. Theres alot of weirdos out there, but im glad your here to stay :)

I just wanted to say Hi, I've been following your blog and watching your YT videos for a while now with my almost 12 year old daughter who is starting to get a little interested in make up now. We do love watching them together and have coo-ed over your baby glitter as she is adorable to say the least! I definitely think you have done the right thing, the internet can be a weird place sometimes!
Also, to let you know (as I have never commented before) that you have inspired me to embrace the world of beauty a little more and I have started painting my nails and putting on some basic make up which has boosted my confidence. A little embarrassing for a 42 year old woman to admit to!
Look forward to hearing your up and coming news xox Penelope

  12. Awww as much as I am sure everyone will miss baby glitters gorgeous face in your videos it is not the reason why I personally watch your videos! It is completely understandable why you would protect her in this way. You have made a great parenting choice Louise!

  16. Baby Glitter may be the cutest little girl alive, however her safety comes first and I agree with your decision 100%. You're her mummy and you know what's best for her! Will miss her smiley face though!

You're videos are always amazing! And I'm sure all your followers out there will understand. Your Baby Glitter's mummy and only wants what's best for her!

  20. A completely respectable decision, you're her mum and it's your choice and I have no doubt that everyone understands! Internet safety is paramount when children are involved, my sister had an incident of this nature a couple of years ago and it's truly horrible and would never want to see it happen to anyone else! Baby Glitter is a cutey and she will be missed, but I'm sure everyone would rather that shes safe!
I enjoy your blog regardless of baby posts so don't feel disheartened :)

    1. Couldn't have said it better myself! I would be quite suprised if anyone decided to stop following your channel, simply because Baby Glitter is no longer going to be featured on it. Your tips, tricks, reviews and general chit chat is enough to hook anyone on your videos. Irrespective of your beautiful daughter. I think you've made the right decision Louise.

      xx.

  22. Going to miss the gorgeous little baby glitter but I totally get where you are coming from. Her safety comes first! There is no way I am going to stop watching your youtube videos though, I love you as well! I hope we will still get to see the odd photo on your blog of her, but maybe with your URL written on it so nobody can use it? Even then, we will understand if you don't want to do it at all.
On a happier note, looking forward to finding out what your secret project is about this time! xxx

  27. I hope it's a collaboration blog, like a tips and DIY blog! It would be lovely, you have some of the best creative ideas I've ever seen.
It's also a massive shame about baby Glitter, but we all wants what's best for her.

  31. Louise, I completely agree with you. Whilst looking at Baby Glitter I feel like squishing her because she's so cute, and you gave us a lovely opportunity to see her growing with you and I will miss the videos with her in them, but for her safety I completely agree that you should remove her from youtube and future blogposts. There are too many sick perverts out there. Bravo on your decision. You're firstly a mother, and then a youtuber/blogger and you should do anything to protect your child which is what you are quite obviously doing.

  32. Is it immature that the thumbnail is making me giggle? you look so funny haha! But on a serious point, although I am very disappointed that we won't be able to see Darcy anymore (she is the cutest baby ever! makes me very broody) I am more disappointed in my fellow humans that they can be so disgusting and out of order. Some of the comments I see on your videos sometimes make me really angry!
I think you are very brave in making this decision and putting Darcy before your career (although I wouldn't ever doubt that this would be something you would do - you're such a great mother). This way you can wait until she's much older and can make the decision for herself as to whether she wants to be on YouTube.
Also very much looking forward to your project, don't keep us guessing for too long!;-) xo

  33. Completely respect and understand your decision. It's easy to forget that pretty much anyone can have access to information/pictures and although most of the time this isn't an issue - there are some not very nice people out there!

Looking forward to your project :)
    x p.s. You're one of my fav bloggers :)

  34. I understand why you did that, i would do the same as you don't know who is watching your videos. Hmmm your project seems very hard to guess though..

  35. i tried to comment on the video, but for some reason it wouldn't let me so I thought i'd say it on here instead :) i really hope your not worried about the weirdos making thoughtless comments about baby glitter, she is very safe with you and you have your sprinklarino army! hahaha. Love your videos and blog :) xxxx

  36. "Sprinkle of thrifty - THE MOVIE" No idea what the plotline would be but I like the sound of it :D

So sad to hear Baby Glitter wont be featured anymore. I love seeing her little outfits and the imaginative games and activities you play with her, but of course her safety comes first and I completely understand and respect your decision - as I thnk all your sprinklearions do. (I dont even want to imagine what the person you reported was saying...)

Saddest thing was that you wanted a document of her life on Youtube - you could always upload them privately so only you can see them?

  37. I'm going to guess the secret project might be a magazine??
