30 Day Snap #13 | Cardboard Creations

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

Confused as to what The 30 Day Snap is? Read THIS to be in the loop and join in.

Fort Building with Toddlers

You'd be quite amazed how much fun you can have with a cardboard box and a bit of imagination. If Darcy will stay still for more than half a second I plan on taking some proper pictures of our creation with my big girl camera.

For now though, here's a sneak peak.

Sidenote - How are you all enjoying this challenge so far? I'm feeling a bit worried. My life isn't all that thrilling and so I'm concerned you might be tiring of so many 'homey' shots. The 'big things' that I do are reserved for vlogs or lifestyle posts so I think the next 2 weeks might be more Mummy/Baby/Household glimpses. Is that alright? Reassure a wobbly blogger please haha!

Toodlepip!

xx

  14. I love these pictures Louise, nice to see normal everyday pictures of your life :) And you're right.. there is so much you can do with cardboard boxes when you're a child! I remember me and my brother using boxes as rockets and stands to put toys on for the 'shops' we used to create in our living room haha :)

I really like your "homey" shots. Please be reassured that they are not boring in the least. I actually enjoy seeing the normal, everyday stuff that is going on in your life.

  21. Oh no Louise! I don't hate these posts, but however I do believe they are getting a bit "common" if you know what I mean. I don't want to be mean, because Darcy is your child but nearly every pic you have posted has been about her. xx :)

  28. I love this project! I love taking part in it, trying to look at my day differently and see what I want to share with everyone.

Don't worry about it not being exciting enough. I enjoy the 'homely' posts. Everyone is the same. Some days there is just more going on than others.

The whole point is to show a snapshot of your day. It wouldn't be an accurate snapshot if you try to force exciting things to take pictures of.

I love your blog so much Louise!

  47. I just love your challenge! It gives me so much joy to take all these pictures and sit down to write a blogpost about them every evening as well as catching up on everyone who participates.
I really understand your concerns, I felt the same thing because all I'm taking pictures of are the weather and food (at least this is what I feel like). But I mean, we're supposed to document our day and if this is special topic what we choose to tell people about, it's perfectly fine. At least that's what I think, haha.

  49. Hi Louise!

I love this challenge! I am hoping to maybe do it another time as I have just started my blog a few days ago!

Cardboard boxes were always so much more fun than shop bought toys. Shop bought toys barely use your imagination! I remember as a kid always finding the bubble wrap or the washing baskets or cardboard boxes or even just getting inside the duvet cover so much more thrilling than playing with the latest polly pocket!

I love your blog and always look forward to new posts!

  50. I love your homey posts, Louise! Your family is so adorable and I love getting little sneak peaks into your home life!

I remember when I was a lot younger my parents had just bought a new refrigerator and they gave the GIGANTIC box it came in to me and my sisters to play with! We got my father to cut out windows and we drew all over it with sidewalk chalk and made it our own little clubhouse!

Looking forward to your next post,

I am sick of it and I am sure many other people are too they are just not saying it because they don't want to write mean stuff because at the same time they are advertising/promoting their blog by adding the link at the end. So if they write horrid comments, the other readers wont click on their link! Idiot, Louise and that pesty child Darcy. Ew.
