Aloha Sprinklerinos!
Can you say the title of this post over and over, really quickly? I can't.
This Christmas, for the fourth year running, Superdrug are supporting the Salvation Army's Christmas Present Appeal.
From November the 23rd to December the 18th, Superdrug customers are able to drop new, unwrapped presents into the store. Then, Salvation Army volunteers will wrap the gifts and distribute them to families and children who may have otherwise had nothing or very little this Christmas.
I think this is a lovely idea and next time I'm in town doing a spot of Christmas shopping, will remember to stop by my local superdrug. Even if it's just a couple of fun toys from PoundLand, you could really bring a smile to someone's face.
Do you think you would consider taking part in this?
Toodlepip!

I didn't know about this as I don't normally shop at Superdrug, thanks for letting us know. I will definitely drop off some pressies. xx
ReplyDeleteA really really lovely idea, definitely will do this when I'm in town next :) xx
ReplyDeleteI've got some things to give but had no idea where to give them or who would be collecting, so thank you for this post!! x
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of giving to charities during the holidays, but I don't support the Salvation Army because of their stance against gay marriage and homosexuality. I will be finding other local charities to donate to this holiday season.
ReplyDeleteSuch a nice idea! havent heard about this anywhere else.

ReplyDeleteI had never noticed this before, I will have to pop in and see what it's all about next time i'm near my superdrug. I love things like this, and the one where you send shoeboxes full of things to children in 3rd world countires, it's so nice to be thoughtful this time of year :)

ReplyDeleteI don't think we have something like that in Germany (if I'm wrong please correct me) but it's a perfect idea and if I lived in the UK I would definitely take part.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a nice idea. I'm definitely going to donate something. THIS is what Christmas is about :) :) xxx

Such a lovely Christmas spirited idea! This should be done all year round. But it is extra nice during the holiday.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet you are to share this Louise, it brings awareness. x
such a lovely idea, and thank you for spreading awareness :) i'll definitely be dropping something off at superdrug x
ReplyDeleteI worked at superdrug last christmas and all the presents were left in superdrug! they didnt pass them on!! XO
ReplyDeleteI work for a charity and its so important to support charities financially all year round.
ReplyDeleteHowever at Christmas I really like to support the charities that give physical gifts. Although the Salvation can have some controversail (or traditional I suppose depending on your viewpoint) stances on some things, I cant deny the good work they DO do and knowing that I would be able to give a gift to a complete stranger through them can only be a positive thing.
Now to remember to go into town before Dec 16th!
