How To || Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

If you have been a reader of this sparkly blog for a long time, you may well know that I have a deep, deep love for Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser. Over the past year or so I have tried many a remover in the hope that it will live up to my beloved Cleanse and Polish, but alas, none have. Not one. Not a sausage. (NB- Please don't rub sausages round your face, they won't remove your waterproof mascara.)

Since I talk about it so often, mention it in tonnes of videos, recommend it on twitter and facebook, I thought (I can't take the credit for this, it was requested) I ought to film a video showing exactly how to use it. I know it isn't rocket science, but if you are new to a product, I often find it can be a little daunting.

This video is also on my YouTube channel but embedding it here means those of you who are strictly blog readers can see it too- hurrah for modern technology eh!

If you would like to read my 'Battle of the Cleansers' post from last year (guess who won?), you can see that HERE

I really enjoyed doing a bit of a 'how to' and being in a different set up....and being a bit naked haha...so perhaps you'll see a few more of these sorts around these here parts of the interweb. Hooray!

Are you a fan of this product? Have you found anything to beat it?

Toodlepip!

xx

  2. Thanks for the video, Louise! I find watching people remove their make up just as interesting as watching them apply it. You have lovely skin - you've convinced me to try it!

  10. Oh m geee! I lol'd A LOT throughout this! Ha ha! Loved it! I sometimes take my make-up off with a face wipe then I don't tend to get my cloths so dirty so I can reuse a couple of times! :-) Nothing worse than a tangoed/black cloth! :-) SX

  23. i loved watching/reading this, i've wondered about trying it out for ages!

p.s instead of using the hot cloth, would a flannel do? it doesnt seem much different to me, i just wondered if it was basically the same thing or if the hot cloth was made of something different that made it work better? xx

  39. I was recently given this cleanser, and it really has made the whole world of difference to my skin. My skin was never particularly bad in the first place, but it lacked a certain glow which I was keen to find. I love this cleanser as the use of the cloth acts as an exfoliator, leaving skin looking fresh and giving it more of that natural glow (but avoiding shine). What's more, it's not messy (something I hate with most cleansers). The washing of the face is controlled with the cloth, which is beautifully warm, leaving no extra spills or the feeling of being bombarded with furious splashes of cold water.
I can only hope that it will continue to work on my skin and make it look as fresh as yours! Thank you for this post - really enjoyable to read x
