I'm off to see the wizard....


Aloha Sprinklerinos,

.....the wonderful wizard of Oz Orlando!

As you may know, tomorrow I am flying out to Orlando for a YouTube convention called Playlist Live. 

I. Am. Excited.

I thought about spending some time writing out a weeks worth of blog posts and scheduling them so that I could have something up everyday (since I have done so well for 7 weeks now!) but decided against it. The pressure was too much. I figured if I was going away for a week I'd rather spend the day with Darcy and Matt than tip tapping away on my laptop...as much as I love a good tip tap. 

Instead what I might do is upload a little bit whilst I'm out there. I plan on taking my canon so that I can have lots and lots of lovely photographic memories so maybe I'll upload a snap a day or something of that sort. I'm being super flippant because I don't want to work myself up about it. I find that when I make a blog promise I feel really compelled to carry it out, regardless of whether it actually suits my life or not.

Hopefully, I'll be around. If I'm not, just know that I'll be back and I'm probably too busy binging on IHOP to get my tiptapping on.

    I wish I was able to come see you & the others at Playlist Live, but I didnt get my ticket in time :( You will love the weather here. Last week it was kind of cold though.     You're going to have an absolutely amazing time! As a resident of Florida, I though I would make you a list of things to buy/do/eat while you're here.
    -Go to Target. No really. From clothes, to drug store makeup, to food, to home items...long story short, I can never leave without buying anything.
    -Mascara. I watch quite a few UK beauty gurus (Tanya, Fleur, Zoe, and of course you!)and it's shocking how expensive mascara is over there while I recently bought one for about $6 here. My personal favorite is the Maybelline Falsies one.
    -Bath and Body Works. When I walk in there, I just want to smell everything! My personal favorite scent is Sweet Pea, but the majority of the scents all smell amazing. The Market Fresh line is also fantastic.
    -You probably know this one already but sunscreen is a must! I have gotten plenty of sneaky sunburns that ruin my day.
    -Lucky Charms
    -Hershey's Cookies & Cream Bars
    -Essie Nail Polish. My personal favorite is Turquoise and Caicos but all of their colors are beautiful and reasonably priced.
    -Clothes from Target. I know I mentioned Target already but I feel like the clothes deserve to be separate. Not only do they have a fantastic women's section, but their children's clothes are also adorable.
    -Pop Tarts
    -Sephora. I get a little sad when I walk in to Sephora because I want to buy everything! I personally love their Metallics Sephora + Pantone Palette. It's very underrated, beautiful, and I believe it's on sale at the moment.
    -Best Fast Food Option: Chik-Fil-a
    -Warning: Everything around Disney will be over priced and overrun with tourists, but magical nonetheless.
    -In Orlando, it can be a little chilly in the mornings so I recommend bringing layers (like a light jacket) that you can remove later in the day.
    -Best Grocery Store: Publix. The bakery can be dangerously delicious. They also have nice employees and everything you could need in a grocery store.
    -Flip flops
    -Pretty much everything that Marie sent you in Glitterbits (I've actually never tried corn nuts). I guess Yorks are an acquired taste.
    -In Orlando the roads are crazy and confusing so a GPS will be handy.
    -Anything to help your hair defy the humidity.(Even though the weather's been pretty nice lately)
    -Cheez-Its
    -Auntie Anne's Pretzels. Available in most malls. My favorite food in the entire world.
    -Zebra Cakes.
    -Real American Barbecue. On a trip to tour a college in Orlando, I went to Bubbalou's Bodacious BBQ and it was delicious! (2100 Challenger Parkway)
    -If by a grace of good luck, you see a girl scout selling cookies, buy them. (Frozen Thin Mints are the best!) They can normally be found outside of Publix.

    I feel like this is turning into a novel so I'll stop there. I'm currently a student at Florida State University (about 5 hours north of Orlando) and I've lived in Florida my whole life (I even lived in Orlando for a few years). I would want nothing more than to go to Playlist but sadly I can't. Have a lovely time and pack your Grace Face!

    Im glad your not setting up scheduled posts for whilst your away as I much prefer reading blog posts in "real time" :)It seems more personal, when I know someone is away and a blog post a day pops up in my feed I often dont read it as it seems a bit forced rather than blogging for fun.
