Aloha Sprinklerinos,
Last week I was looking through our backup drive searching for some blog photos that I have lost.
Whilst I was searching through I found the sweetest photo that Matt took when Darcy was less than a week old and couldn't not share it.
Life goes so quickly. It seems like a second and an eternity since she was this small. I feel like I have been a mother forever and can't imagine a life without my sweet baby girl. Saying that, it still feels like just yesterday that I was graduating university or that we were buying our house. Time is confusing and hard to put your finger on.
I love this picture because it's un set-up, un complicated and full of love. I wish I had a picture like this of me and my Mother.
More and more I find myself wanting another little human in our lives.
What is your favourite memory with your Mother or with you babies?
This is such a sweet photo Louise! I agree - I wish I had a photo like this with my mother. Darcy is one lucky little girl!
ReplyDeletehttp://lovethatface.blogspot.com.au/
Such a sweet moment that I'm sure Darcy will love to look back on some day :) One of my favorites is of my mother carefully handing me to my older sister who is so entranced by baby me. Love this post so much! Thanks for the smile :) xx

It's beautiful! :D I am lucky to have the best mom in the world and we share many great moments, but the best ones are the simplest ones, like making dinner together,or shopping for groceries :)

It's really a sweet picture and radiant with love. One of my favorite ones is me and my mom around Christmas, I've just learned to stand up supporting myself, so I'm holding onto the edges of my bed, looking into the camera with the biggest eyes, almost as if shocked by own accomplishment - my mom's sitting next to the bed, she's dressed up and so, so young and pretty! She's smiling at me :) Thanks for reminding me.

This photo is gorgeous! I lost my mum 9 years ago, when I was 13, but thankfully I still have some lovely memories to cherish, even though I have no photos! Xxx
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful picture!!! I do have 2 lovely spontaneous pics with my mom from when I was 2, and it's really special because she's no longer with us - she died 6 months ago.

ReplyDeleteI love this Louise. My little boy, William, is 14 months on 12th August and I can't quite remember this stage anymore. I love watching him grow but I miss that moment of getting to know your baby for the first time. Perhaps I should have another...!

Such a beautiful photo! I'm sad that I don't have any photos like this with my mum. My mum is literally my best friend, but she hates having her photo taken so there are barely any photos of us together. Also, I'm the youngest of three so by the time they got to me my parents were done with the whole taking photos on children thing haha.

Absolutely adorable! My favourite photo of me and my Mum is from when I was about three or four, and we were at the Millenium Dome in London (before it became the O2 arena haha); I'm laughing with my eyes squeezed shut and my mum looks so happy - I don't think there'll ever be a better photo of the two of us together!

ReplyDeletehttp://blueeyedb.blogspot.co.uk/
Please frame that and put it somewhere in your house. It's so beautiful in it's simplicity. A genuine moment between the two of you and there is nothing more gorgeous then a new mother's glow. I too would love to have a picture like this of me and my mother. ALSO, now that you're having that sensation like you want another little human... I feel I must weigh in with my opinion (because it means so much) HAVE MORE BABIES! If only because I selfishly want to see what your children will look like. Darcy is possibly the cutest human that has ever graced the earth.

ReplyDeleteIt's so nice that you get to experience all of this at this stage of your life. I'm rather jelly ;) I remember the smell of my mothers leather jacket. She used to carry me when I was little and my face would be right next to her jacket and the smell still reminds me of that. Very special memory.

wow, I'm expecting my first baby later this month and your website is really helping
ReplyDeleteThat is such a wonderful picture! It´s crazy that Baby Glitter already is a little lady now. I´m only 20 and I don´t have a baby but I also realize that time flies...I feel like just a week ago I was 16 and experienced so many new things. And just yesterday I was 18 and left home to travel around Australia for 6 months. And now I´m 20, moved out from my parents living in a new, bigger city, studying (it´s already one year now!). Okay, I have to stop being nostalgic now!^^ I love your blog and your videos and your little family. You´re gorgeous! Marie<3
