Aloha Sprinklerinos,
This coming fortnight is shaping up to be crazy busy so I fear my blog may be a little lacklustre for a few days.
To keep things ticking over and because I can't help but be a proud mama, here is one of my favourite snaps from our family holiday to Orlando last week. I have about eight million more but I'm editing bit by bit in the evenings so be patient my pretties.
Having now experienced the joy of Disney through a toddler's eyes I can fully see why people spend thousands of pounds to go every year and will most definitely be returning as soon as I can. Watching Darcy (or 'Princess Ariel' I should say) wave at parade characters, delight in the little rides and show everybody her new 'pincess mermaid' dress just melted my heart in every which way.
Have you experienced the Magic Kingdom? What was your favourite thing about it? Mine was all the little details.
Toodlepip!
xx

ReplyDeleteHi Louise :)
ReplyDeleteI just want to say you really are an inspiration I love everything about you and your family and I think you are hilarious. Might seem sad but over the past week or so I've been watching all your videos from oldest to newest I love them!! I just watched the best friend tag video and was absolutely howling when Matt put Darcy half way aup the dooor so she looked like she was floating! You and Charlotte didn't even notice. Haa. I've started doing videos and opened a blog because you've made me feel like it looks like amazing fun!! Wish me luck! Xxxx

What a beautiful picture! You have a beautiful family, Louise. I haven't yet taken my daughter to Disneyland Paris (we live near Paris), but I plan on trying it next month and I cannot wait. She's 8 and a half years old and has autism, it didn't seem like something she could handle until recently. I love Disney though, and it's my happy place. I went to the one in Orlando when I lived there, and it was amazing. :)
ReplyDeleteyou look lovely! Your family is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI didn't had the chance and I don't think I'll have it soon (only if I'll win the lottery big prize :-D)
I wouldn't know what I'll love :-D
I adore Disney! Me and my family are going next summer and I'll be 18 at that point, but couldn't be more excited! It's just the most wonderful place on earth! I can't wait too see more of your pictures and what you get up to! x

ReplyDeleteI love going through all the snaps my parents took of our family adventures from when I was just a lil bubba. There's something so magical about it even if I can't remember the places and it's so amazing seeing how our family has changed and grown over time.
Aww you're such a good mommy! I've never went to the Magic World yet but I can't wait to! xxx

I grew up in the Orlando area so my childhood was flooded with Disney and Universal. By far the Magic Kingdom was my favorite spot, but still loved some other rides (i.e. the Haunted Mansion and Tower of Terror, etc). Which I assume those were not on your to do list with sweet little Darcy. (:
ReplyDeleteIsland's of Adventure was by far my favorite place to go when I was in high school.
Lovely picture! Darcy is too cute! x

You're such a beautiful little family! I love how much you enjoy watching Darcy grow up.. it's lovely & you just seem like the perfect parents. ReplyDeleteI've only visited once when I was about four, and I've been told I absolutely loved it then. :-)
I've never been to Florida but when I was around Darcy's age we all went to Disneyland Paris. I absolutely loved it and even though I was young have lots of memories from it. My favourite rides were the tea cups and the runaway train xxx
ReplyDeleteYou guys are seriously like the most adorable little family!!

I went last year when my son had just turned two. My favorite thing was seeing him that day, and his bewildered face that he was actually going to meet Mickey! Before we got there, he kept asking if he was going to meet him for real, and that was just precious and priceless!
ReplyDeletebest family picture ever! You and your family are stunning!!

ReplyDeleteThat is absolutely the cutest family photo ever!
I love the picture and can't wait to hear more about your trip. I also love Disney World and even though I'm almost 20 when my parents told me they were taking me for xmas I almost cried, who was Darcy the most excited to meet? I know I'm always excited to see Ariel. My favourite part about Magic Kingdom has to be either the fireworks or the night parade, I prefer spectromagic over the electrical parade but I just love all the lights. What was your favourite part of the park?
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that photo, it is so beautiful and Darcy is so adorable! Wish I was there, I love Disney!
ReplyDeleteSuch adorable family. Making me rather broody! X
ReplyDeleteHave been Disney World three times back when I was little. Have not been there since but would love to go back someday. Darcy looks so cute in that picture!

ReplyDeleteI've never been to Disney World, because I grew up in Southern California, but we went to Disneyland at least once a year when I was growing up. It was always the best day of the year! I know that Disney World is much bigger, but I would definitely recommend going to Disneyland if you're in California, because in my opinion the original is always the best! ;) Even now as an adult I get a little wistful if I go too long without going back. You need to take Darcy when the Christmas decorations are up. It's the best!

ReplyDeleteLouise, I absolutely adore this picture and can not wait to view more! Disney is my favorite place in the whole world, and I am fortunate enough to live in Florida, so I can visit frequently and hopefully work there one day. Disney is one of those rare places were almost everyone is happy and you get to relive all of your favorite childhood memories. You meet characters and dance in parades, and if you are like me, you cry during the fireworks show. Everything about Disney is magical, even the sweaty cast members. It sure seemed like Darcy had a blast experiencing Disney World for the first time. I love to see all of the kids enjoyment and happiness all over their faces; Even as they get older they never stop experiencing that joy. I'm glad your family had so much fun experiencing the magic of Disney! I can't wait to hear all about it!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful picture to keep. I really want to go to disneyland but scared of people in full costumes with Masks. I would be ok with the Princess but Mickey and Minnie are definite NoNos. Need to get rid of this fear
