Motivational Monday #1

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

Oh yes, put on your party hats and roll out the red carpet, Motivational Monday series two has arrived!

If you are confused at all about where you are or what's going on, THIS was the first ever Motivational Monday and THIS was the series one finale. If you are new to the feature, you might find them useful.

So Merry Monday my lovely lot, if you are feeling a bit blue because it's the start of the week, please don't, it's the perfect opportunity to start afresh and achieve your goals.

This image was lovingly borrowed from Pinterest. Original source unknown. You can follow my boards HERE

I have chosen this motivator today because it's simple, easy to start with and brings happiness, which is essentially the point of Motivational Mondays.

I'll keep things short (for once). Whatever you're doing today, whether you're at work, school, college, home, looking after your littles, running errands or having a duvet day (lucky) then enjoy it. You may not be dancing with glee at the prospect of sitting at your desk all day but find something about it that is positive. Is it nice to see colleagues/piers again? Do you have a really nice lunch planned? Could you have a sneaky bit of internet time and peruse some online shops?

Make a concerted effort to enjoy today and every day this week. When you look for the good in things, you find them, appreciate them and feel uplifted for knowing they are there.

I hope this gentle start into Motivational Monday has lifted your spirits and your week's are wonderful.

Tell me in the comments what you do on a typical Monday. I love knowing about people's day to day!

Toodlepip!

xx

  1. Monday usually means getting up early morning to finish some homework that I SHOULD have done over the weekend, and I end the day with an awesome Yoga class that just relaxes the stress of the busy day, but homework fills up the rest of my evening when I return home :/ It's worth it though :)

  13. I needed this word of advice right now. I'm at the office today for first time in 2014. I already have quite a few things on my to-do list but I'm trying to get them done asap so I can take it easy the rest of the day. I'm happy I'm back to my somewhat normal schedule though because holidays were so hectic!

  22. This is a nice post :) I often find myself dreading Mondays (who doesn't?) so this is a good outlook to have in order to tackle the week!
Usually Monday's for me are pretty mundane; I struggle to get up and go to school, and most likely end up taking a quick nap after my swim practice. They are usually pretty boring so I like to spend time cuddling with my puppies and kitties :) That helps make any day better for me!

  36. I definitely needed a Motivational Monday today after two weeks of holiday cheer and lie ins getting up for the school run at 6.30 and going out in the torrential rain I was feeling a bit meh. But I'm going to put on some music, make a cup of tea and do the housework with a smile. Happiness is definitely something you can make happen with a few positive thoughts. xxx

  37. On this particular Monday, my mum and I de-Christmassed the house. It's now a weird and completely un-festive place. -_-

  38. Yay I was using today to get off my lazy maternity leave bum and sort my house out! I need to wash every item I own, wash all of Daisy's baby clothes, clean the bathroom and the list goes on! I'd just sat down with some chocolate orange after doing nothing so far all day. To be fair it is hard with a gorgeous 6 month old and a puppy distracting me ;) x

  42. Got up early, did my weight watchers weigh in, we took our dog out for a walk, then took my little girl to school, then onto work! Phew I feel tired just writing that!
But the joy of having gotten up early is that we had time to do all of that in our stride, I love walking the dog and walking smallie girlie to school. It is a time that that we get to chat and discuss all those small things that can get so easily get lost with all of the background noise of general life! Housework, television, just every day life sometimes means that I do not always listen quite as well as I could.
Thank you, I really enjoyed this post. I hope you have a really good Monday too x

This post has really cheered me up because my boyfriend and some of my best friends returned back to university yesterday, so this morning I was definitely starting to feel a little bit bored and miserable on my own. Thanks again :) Much love!

BUT my Mondays usually contains of work - I'm a reposesser, so I go around taking peoples cars when they are overdue on their credits/leases/loans. In Sweden we dont travel around with a truck full of ak-4's and other weapons (like triggerhappy americans) people tend to leave their car to me without too much fuzz, without threats, and I enjoy my job!

  115. Hello Louise! Greetings from the United States!! Unfortunately school is back in session after a much needed winter break. Here in Ohio though Mother Nature decided to go all crazy and dumped A BUNCH of snow and below freezing temps on us. So the start to our spring semester is off a bit because the college closed today and tomorrow!! So I should have been going to my classes today but since the school was closed I had a duvet day! Then my roommate bribed me with some Starbucks so I would go out in the frigged temps to the bookstore. Then we went and got sushi and made it back home safe and sound!

I love you and your blog!

    Thanks!

    Mary

  116. Louise,

I missed the first round of Mondays, but this does look a bit interesting. On Monday's I normally get up, make breakfast, and then dive right into school work since I do online schooling. I take breaks here and there, and then around dinner time make notes of what needs to be done for the following days.

  119. A little bit of positivity goes a long way. Choosing to be happy is just the best advice I could give anyone (and something I feel like I need to focus on a bit more myself).

Thank you for the lovely post.

  122. Yay! So glad you're starting a new series with this :)
On a typical Monday I get up early and get ready for the good ol' classes at university. It just happens that for this week, my first class did not start until 4 pm but I got up earlish anyways to get back in the rhythm after my Christmas break. What do you do on a typical Monday? Xx

  126. For health reasons, I have had to take a gap year whilst all my pals have gone off to University. Though I try to be positive, I have days where I feel extremely down in the dumps about it and even more so because I feel like I'm completely wasting the days away doing nothing. But this has made me smile so much and remember why it's important to stay positive and focus on the good things! Thank you Louise! xxx

  129. Generally on Mondays I just go to my Dutch language class in the morning (learning a new language!) and then work in the afternoon whilst trying to tear myself away from blogs! I know I'm reading this a bit late but I'm so so so glad that Motivational Mondays are back, they really really are the best and they always lift my spirits :) xxx

  130. Ah I love how you try to encourage people to see the positive in everything, especially when so many moan about it being a Monday but like you said - what a perfect time to start a new.
Mondays are usually an average day for me - nothing exciting happens other than work and completely any tasks from the week before, very enticing! But I am fortunate to have this job and actually... I do like it here!

Look forward to the next motivational Monday!

  134. The highlight of my working day is if the phone doesn't ring during my lunchbreak. I appreciate it far too much for it to be normal so I'm always in good spirits when it happens; I just need to find something else to be happy about if the phone does go while I'm eating.

  135. It's one of my New Years Resolutions to be more positive, about every aspect of my life - myself, others, situations, what I have etc. Already it's the best thing I've done - I'm just so much happier!

  144. Read About Duvet Covers

The Duvet Covers protects duvet during use. Duvet covers frequently have a decorative function on the bed, allowing for change of pattern or design for different occasions, or to serve different functions; for example, a heavier duvet cover may be used during colder seasons.
