Aloha Sprinklerinos,
This week on my YouTube channel I talked about purse friendly ways to pamper yourself this month. I really like this video (vain much?) because it's sweet and snappy and I tried new things during the editing process to challenge and stretch myself creatively. Go me.
I'd be really interested to hear about your budget beauty or pamper tricks and I'd also like to know how you're getting on this month. January can really drag so I'm always trying to think up new ways to make it that little bit more sparkly!
Also, in case you missed last week's video (I didn't feature it on my blog due to THIS post), 'What's In My 2014 MakeUp Bag', you can watch it HERE. If you would like to, please feel free to SUBSCRIBE to my channel. Yay YouTube!

Love the video will need to do this pamper thing one day with friends, never thought of using the cheap ones or having a face mask :)
ReplyDeleteLoving this! Thanks Louise :)) xx
ReplyDeleteI sometimes make my own face mask with yogurt and honey (a bit messy) or my own face scrub with a little bit of cleanser and sugar.
ReplyDeleteI do love a little pamper from time to time and can't beat a lush bath.

As a student my budget is extremely limited when it comes to pamper treats but I find an extra long soak in the shower with some nice smelling shower gel, then a 99p face mask (still lovely!) and some body butter still provides you with nice skin and a relaxing evening that fits into my budget. Also you can find some lovely extra treats in Poundland and Wilko's sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI am still looking forward to exploring more treats when I have that all important income though!

Great ideas for these gloomy days!! I am starting to enjoy doing my own little mani/pedi's and facials at home, it's still a nice treat, but means I can stay in the warmth with my baby girl and also saves a heap!!! xx
ReplyDeleteReally good little ideas :D - perfect for students like me who are super poor 24/7 for 3 years! Haha

I love the less messy version of a facemask - I'm rubbish when it comes to putting 'normal' ones on and usually end up with most of it in my hair, so this would be fab for me!
ReplyDeleteI normally take a long hot bath, with a cheeky Lush bathbomb (not budget, I know, but sooo worth it!).

I like to make my own face masks! Using natural ingredients you have lying around the house are brilliant for nourishing face masks when you're on a budget :)

ReplyDeleteAwesome video. I use those face masks all the time & they're the best! One of my budget beauty secrets is coconut oil/butter. It's something like $6-$10 for a decent sized jar & you can use it for EVERYTHING: Hair masks, moisturiser, hand cream, making beauty products, etc.
ReplyDeleteP.s. Your dip-dyed hair look so pretty in this video!
Haha love this thumbnail! xx

What a lovely video, Louise! It really made me laugh and it brightened up my dark day of studying for my exams, ugh!
ReplyDeleteWhat I really find relaxing is drinking a cup of tea in the evening with a piece of dark chocolate. Yuuum! And also eating a little healthy snack between lunch and dinner. (Seems like all I do to pamper myself is eating, haha!)

I love taking baths to relax. I always read in the bath, and that seems to make me feel especially calm.
ReplyDeleteThis January does seem like it's just dragging on.

ReplyDeleteLoved the video Louise!! I wrote a blog post about a cosy night in with cheap pamper treats! check it out (:
ReplyDeleteI can only have a bath once a week at my dad's house so I usually stick to facials, pedicures and the like when it comes to pampering.. candles are also a must, they make for a cosy night in! This being a budget-pampering video is super helpful to us penniless teens, thanks Louise!
ReplyDeleteLove this video, I will definitely have to pick up some of the bits that you mentioned! x

I love doing homemade face masks and hair products. I have a list of new ones that I want to try and since my hair is quite damaged I always am looking for good hair products. I recently purchased a Suave professionals dry shampoo for only $2.88, I'm surprised at the quality. But face masks are definitely my favorite especially when my best friend will do them with me.

I do my whole facial routine: cleanse, tone, moisturise, mask, but I also do a stream to open my pores and give rid of dirt that may be clogging it, boil some water and put your face over it for 5 minutes and wash it with cold water, it's free! :)
