Driving Fears || October Diary

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

I was right, today was a better day. Thank goodness.

I woke up without my alarm (always nice) and without having a bunch of distressing dreams (always even nicer) and got dressed and ready in a calm, lovely manner.

I picked up Natalie from the station and we drove up to Sheffield for my first proper book signing for the Diary. This sentence might not seem like much but it's BIG. For as long as I've had a licence, I've been petrified of driving on the motorways. I missed out on events, took super lengthy train rides and paid for really expensive taxis just so I wouldn't have to face that fear. This last month though, I've cracked it. I've done a couple of big journeys and although I don't much like it, I can do it. The sense of freedom is incredible. I can go ANYWHERE now! So, that was a high point.

The signing itself was dreamy. Lots of smiling happy faces and lovely little chats were had. My Publicist, Hannah, is a hoot and I think knows more about Harry Potter than JK herself. I like her a lot. I have another signing today in Nottingham at the WHSmith in the Victoria at 4pm, wristbands are available on the door so do pop in and say hello.

The car journey home was long (thank you traffic) and so Natalie and I weathered it with out of tune signing to a selection of super cheesy pop songs. Amazing.

I popped into Matt's for dinner (oh hi Dominos pizza) and now I'm home and thinking about a bath and/or netflix. Who knows??

All in all, a much better day!

Since it's gone midnight, I've got about as much energy as a drunk flea so won't type too much but I'm enjoying these little updates. Diaries are good for the soul I think.

Toodlepip!

xx

  2. The last part about diaries being good for the soul really struck me, since it's so so true. Writing and journaling in general is something I find really therapeutic. I'm glad today was a lot better for you Louise, I've had an off day, but I'm optomistic for tomorrow. :) x

  5. I'm really proud of you, Louise. I also have a fear of driving as my dad died as the result of a car accident, but this year I finally started driving lessons (I'm 23) and it feels really good to take little steps to overcome something that was paralysing for a long time.

  17. Well done for facing your fears and driving on the motorway Louise! The thought of doing any long distance driving petrifies me and I refuse to drive anywhere I don't feel confident driving too! (basically I will drive in & around my own town/city but wont venture any further a field) Hopefully one day I will get over my fears and be able to brave driving a long distance journey!

  21. I too don't like long-distance driving (because of anxiety and fear of a panic attack). But I also have an opposite problem: I don't really use public transport but much rather drive shorter distances because I feel more in control.

  25. Hello Louise (can I call you Louise?)! This is just a comment to say that I admire and adore you so much, I have read your book many times on kindle and I realized that posting anything any ware and using the mask of the internet to make it ok is an awful thing to do and so I just thought that a little positive comment, even though it is only a smidgen of the web, in some ways makes the world a better place. Being nice to someone else can also help me back! After reading your post, I went up to the girl who was not very nice to me at school and told her that being mean to me wouldn't help her feel any better, and that I didn't mind her anymore because I have enough people that I deserve to be around, where no negativity is involved.
Thank you so much for making me stand up to my fear, you really have changed my life💞

  30. Oh lord - I'm glad it's not just me that fears the motorway lol. I started to drive somewhere with my friend and she was directing me. Then I said 'oh - this is weird, I'm sure I went straight on here before' and she said, no so I carried on. Then I saw the M1 sign and was like 'Alice?! Are we going on the motorway?!' I literally nearly had a fit and she replied with a yes. I said 'I haven't been on the motorway before! - by this time it was too late but she was like 'it's ok, I'm here - just think of it as a big A52' I only went up a few junctions but I did feel better for doing that. I would start by going like once a month if that just down a few junctions until you get used to it. If I had somewhere to go, I would do this myself because I haven't been back on one since! Eek! Anyway - I came to your book signing in Nottingham today and I randomly and thankfully took the afternoon off work to see you. My boss is amazing and said 'if you don't go, I'll drag you there because you're always talking about her - she's you're favourite, you can't miss it' - I am so so grateful to her for that. I hadn't realised you were coming to nottingham until last night! I wish we'd have been able to spend more time talking to you. I feel anxious when I feel rushed and I could feel the security man standing next to us about to wave me on! I've never met you before so I was so happy to see you in person anyway! I'm glad you spoke because I sort of froze :/ It's this thing that happens when I meet people. I didn't want to say anything cheesy like 'your my fave you tuber and an amazing inspiring person with the cutest daughter ever! as I didn't want you to feel uncomfortable! I did feel you weren't feeling yourself, but we can't expect you to feel 100% happy and bubbly every day! I hope you feel happier/more yourself soon. I do the same thing - go through phases of being up and down. I will have a bad week but then be on top of the world for the rest of it. It will pass. Sorry for the really long comment! Also - your diary looks absolutely AMAZING! I love the pictures in it and the style is gorg! From 1 of 2 24 year olds in the queue today, if you remember, I'm the one in the Ariel top <3 - Hollie Xx

  31. I'm so glad you're feeling better, Louise!! :)
I have to drive every day because of where I live, public transportation here is not exactly the best, or to be found everywhere. And it makes me really anxious because most people here are awful drivers -_- it's frustrating!
I hope you have another great day tomorrow! :)

  32. This particular phrase may not appear to be a lot however it is LARGE. Provided I have experienced the license, I have been scared associated with generating about the freeways.

  33. I love driving... I prefer to drive than be driven around because 1) sitting in the passenger seat gives me car sickness, and 2) driving makes me feel like I'm in control. :)

  37. A broken marriage can be one of the most painful things to heal from and can take a very long time to heal. During these times it can feel like the whole world could light up in flames and it still couldn't compare to the pain inside. My name is Nicole Cottrell form UK, I have been in great bondage for almost 2 years suffering in the hands of a cheating husband, we were happy and leaving well until he meant his old time girl friend and he started dating her outside our marriage before you knew it he stopped caring and taking care of his own family to the extent that he was planning to get married to her and divorce me, i cried and reported him to his family but he never listened to any one but to cut my story short i came in search for a real spell caster who could destroy their relationship and make him come back to me and our 2 kids on my search i saw people making testimony on how their marriage where restored by Chief Nwaluta Mallam Zack i pick his email and i narrated my story to him and he agreed to help me and after performing a spell on the second day both of them had a quarrel and he beat his girlfriend up and he came home begging for me and our little kids to forgive him that his eyes are clear now that he will never do any thing that will hurt his family again and promise to be a caring father and never cheat again. I am so happy that i did not loose him to the girl. all appreciation goes to Chief Nwaluta Mallam Zack for he is a Great spell caster and to whom this may concern if you have a cheating husband or wife or you need your ex lover back again. you can as well email him on { Nwalutaspelltemple@gmail.com }, online love problem solution 100% Guarantee

Hello everyone my name is Sophie,i am from Canada I feel very happy to share my great and wonderful testimony with everyone on this platform..: I was married for 4 years to my husband and all of a sudden another woman came into the picture he started hating me and he was abusive and all because i never bear him a child. but i still loved him with all my heart and wanted him at all cost.... He filed for divorce and my whole life was turning apart and i didn't know what to do, he moved out of the house and abandoned me all alone, one day a very close friend of mine told me about trying spiritual means to get my husband back,so i went online to search and i came across so many spell caster who only wasted my time and took a lot of money from me,but i went back to her and told her that spiritual way has only taking my money and not yielding anything, and she  introduced me to a spell caster,drgurulovespelltemple@yahoo.com, so i decided to try it. although i didn't believe in all those things because of what i have gone through lately,i contacted the Doctor and explain all my problems to him and he told me that i shouldn't worry that when he cast the spell on me and my husband that my husband is going to run back to me and that within 3weeks am going to get pregnant,so i did the little he ask me to do and behold it all work out,my husband run back to me and right now we have Twins boy and a girl,so all thanks to Dr Guru you're indeed a great spell caster, in case anyone needs help here is his email address; drgurulovespelltemple@yahoo.com His spells is for a better life OR whatsapp him now +2349023365076

My husband left me for a total stranger and I could not imagine what the hell was happening because everything looks like a dream to me. I was very depressed and desperate to win back my husband and I searched on GOOGLE for help about my situation and I got recommended to Dr. Ayoola who is a powerful spell caster for he has so many magnificent testimonies and reviews on the internet from different people all over the world. I got in touch with him and I poured out my sorrowful heart to him and he encouraged and promised to help me out. He gave me some instructions of which a adhered to and within 48 hours of contacting Dr. Ayoola my attorney called me to get me informed that the divorce case has been cancelled and I got a call from my husband 30 minutes after I finished speaking to my attorney. My husband and I are so much in Love with endless care and happiness and I so much thank Dr. Ayoola for doing this for me and I know people out there might also need their partner or lovers back or want to get pregnant for your partner or husband.
