Aloha Sprinklerinos,
I'm a bit late to the party on this one but I couldn't let summer slip through my our fingers without showcasing these b-e-a-utiful lip products over here in Glitter Land.
You may remember them from my June or July Favourites video (I've been loving them a while), but really I wanted them to be on here too because frankly, they just look so dagnam pretty!
They are luxurious lip product consisting of an inner core of lipstick, encased in a beautifully fruity scented lipbalm. If you are after something incredibly pigmented, these are probably not for you (with the exception of 'Cystal Violet -second from the left- which I think will look fabulous this Autumn). However, if you are looking for a lipbalm with a bit of pep in it's step and feel happy forking out a somewhat hefty £16.50, then these will be right up your street.
On application they leave a hint of colour and my lips feel nourished for hours. Kissy kissy!
As you can see from the above swatches, these are a wash of colour with low opacity rather than a heavy duty lipstick.
What I enjoy about these are the colours, scents (I'm usually very fussy but really liked these), the packaging (terribly important to a hard core makeup addict and these are a pleasure to pull out of my handbag) and the fun factor of the actual product.
What I didn't enjoy was the price. To me, £16.50 is a lot of money for a balm, but I can appreciate that Clarins is a luxury brand so would view this as a treat or special gift to myself, as opposed to a 'kit essential'.
These are sadly limited edition items but are still stocked on the website so now is your chance to treat yourself or someone lovely in your life.
Is this the sort of product that tickles your pickle?
Toodlepip!
xx

I love it when a lipstick has a lovely scent, I think this is why I own so many MAC ones aha! I've never tried anything by Clarins but these look so pretty, especially the pink one xx
ReplyDeleteThey look a little like push pops to me...i don't know if anyone else will know what im on about, but it would make me awfully tempted to just chomp off the top. With that said i do really like the look of them however the price certainly turns me off x
ReplyDeleteThese look lovely. The packaging is so nice. The price is too expensive though. I'd spend it on a lipstick with WOW factor, but I don't think these would be that noticeable. xx
ReplyDeleteThey're really pretty, the price tag isn't though! xx

Those look georgues, such a clever idea for a lipbalms on the outside and a lipstick on the inside. It's lots of pigment and moisturised lips, two common things that are rarely put together, that looks like heaven! :p xxx
ReplyDeleteThese look lovely! The idea is really clever x

Oh my, these look lovely! x

ReplyDeleteThe purple one is a gorgeous colour! I wish it were more opaque though, I'm a sucker for opaque lippies :)
ReplyDeleteOoh, such pretty colours! I think £16.50 is quite a bit more than I'm prepared to pay for a lip balm, but I love the idea, it sounds amazing!
ReplyDeletePip x
I love the packaging and these balms look so pretty :)

consider my pickle tickled! I love the look of them. They remind me of the product you showed in your disappointing lip product video--the one that had 0 pigmentation--but obviously much better. Great review!
ReplyDeleteI may have to look out for these tomorrow whilst I am shopping :o)

I love love love lipbalms, especially ones with a hint of tint, but really reluctant to spend so much money on them because only two lipbalms have ever really worked on my really dry lips! It's a lot of money for something that might not work.
ReplyDeleteBut they are so pretty! Would it be a tad excessive to have them as ornaments in my house? lol xx
I love how these look and how they give a little colour! <3 but they do look a little dry? is or it just me? xx
