Autumn Playmates

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

With Autumn in full swing we have taken to fully embracing it and being out and about as much as possible. Last week we took our friend's two beautiful Daughter's and Darcy to our local park for a bit of an explore and a run about.

It was so lovely watching Baby Glitter interact with other children and let go of my hand to pursue her own interests. Granted she wasn't going far but it was interesting to see what she wanted to do when she could make her own choices (instead of me guiding her).

We are really thankful to have such sweet little friends in our lives and look forward to more days like this before it gets really really cold!

What kind of things do you like to do with little ones in the Autumn. I'm all ears for activity suggestions!

Toodlepip!

xx

  1. How adorable! Well playing in the autumn leaves for sure is a big hit! My little one is a few months younger so it's our first real Autumn for playing and she really loves playing in all the crunchy leaves. I just love how cute they all look getting into their warmer clothes, it's such a lovely age!!! xx

  4. Aw she is adorable. I was lucky enough that two of my friends have babies around the same time as me so my youngest daughter who is Darcy's age has two little best friends, I love seeing how they play together. I'm really enjoying Autumn with my little ones we've had lot's of fun gathering conkers and stomping through leaves. Not to mention lots of jumping up and down in muddy puddles!

  6. Glad to see your embracing the colder weather! Looks like you and the little ones had such a lovely day. So sweet to see/hear Darcy is becoming more of her own little person and is making choices by herself. What beautiful photos, great post as ever Louise, heart warming!

  23. You are such a great mom Louise:) I LOVE to read about how you are getting through all the daily challenges with baby G:)
In the Czech Republic we used to go "fly dragons" (kids kites) during the windy days. For me as a child it was an amazing experience. We also used to collect conkers and made animals from them it looks like this: http://bit.ly/1eb8kDe
Some other ideas from my wishlist:
*go to the library and borrow a first childern`s book for my kid
*collect leafs of all different autumn colours
*do the last picnic of the season - make little fire, bake potatoes and apples in it, drink tea and listen to Vivaldi`s "Autumn" (or whatever) while wrapped in cozy blankets
*bake an strudel (apple pie) and let your kid to do his or hers own mini-version of it

Unfortunately we only have two seasons in my country: Summer and the Rainy season. I love tropical weather though but I have always wondered how having autumn, spring, summer and winter felt like.

  57. OhMyGurd! They're all so...small...and cute! Maybe you could do something like an Easter Egg Hunt, but with pumpkins. You could buy a bunch of those really small pumpkins (or use oranges or tangerines), give each one a different face with a permanent marker, then hide them amongst the leaves! I don't, it was a thought! X)
