Mummy Dreams

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

The more I look at Baby Glitter, the more I can see that soon she won't be her name. She will soon grow out of babyhood and be firmly placed in a new chapter of her life, toddlerhood. She is developing a sense of self, recognising behaviour and growing into a beautiful little girl.

Whilst there'll be a heartfelt pang when she is no longer a 'baby', I'm feeling so excited for the future and what this brings for my relationship with her, and thought I would share some of my hopeful highlights.

Mummy - Daughter Dreams

Sharing a slice of cake together at the lovely garden centre near our house and chatting.

Her being really pleased with how I did her hair that day.

Allowing her to paint my nails in a rainbow of colours.

Getting dressed up together for family parties.

Blowing up balloons for her birthday.

Seeing her face on Christmas mornings.

Taking her to meet Santa.

Explaining about the magic of the Tooth Fairy.

Reading books under thick blankets as the rain pounds on the window.

Lighting candles and torches in power cuts and telling stories.

Building dens with pegs and sheets.

Making crafty art for when Daddy comes home.

Decorating cakes with sweets and icing.

Delivering holiday treats to neighbours.

Singing our favourite songs in the car.

Writing letters in pink felt tips.

Drinking hot chocolate from matching mugs.

What do you look forward to doing with your children?

Toodlepip!

xx

  8. I look forward to dressing up, french plaiting her hair, pampering ourselves with face masks and mugs of hot chocolate and telling secrets...

My bf's daughter is 6 and she is almost like mine - well on weekends. We paint our nails together, play games, talk about everything - both important and just plain silly, bake cakes, make masses of decorations for christmas/halloween... I just love spending time with her.

This is such a lovely post xx

  13. My mum passed away last night so this has really made me well up. I am 18 and too young too loose her and will never have the chance to experience so many things with her, she won't be there when I get married or have a baby.
You are an amazing mum and Darcie is extremely lucky to be able to share this relationship with you.

  19. This actually made me a little teary. I just turned 37 and my "baby girls" are almost 18 and 19 now. I miss all of the things on your list. Enjoy them while you can. The things I now look forward to with my daughters are shopping together, them helping me keep my style youthful (hehe), going out for lunch, watching them fall in love, seeing them blossom as they take on the world. Hope the joys of parenthood never end! X

  48. My little boy is 4 now, and is now old enough to appreciate and ask for a 'movie night' together. With lots of popcorn, hot chocolate, and searching for a film to watch together. This weekend we did Hocus Pocus - he still finds it a little hard to concentrate on a whole unanimated film but he's getting there :-) I also love bringing him out for lunche if we happen to go shopping at the weekends, and he loves baby cappucinos and cupcakes and ham sandwiches. He's also recently started to make his own bed as a surprise for me in the mornings while I get ready for work, and comes and tells his daddy and I how much he loves us every day because he is so used to hearing it from us. It just gets better and better Louise, so just enjoy every moment and don't mourn the passing of each milestone, as there are many more wonderful ones to come afterward xxx

We are now at the stage of doing some of the things that are on your list and I promise you, that they will be the most amazing moments of your life. My daughter loves to have her hair played with and put into different styles and the look on her face when she likes it, is just precious. I couldn't imagine my life without her and it is nice to see another Mother that enjoys the little things <3 x

  90. A great idea to help make christmas morning even more exciting is to get some boots, as in male boots, then in the room with the christmas tree put the boots on the floor and put talcum powder around them so that it looks like snow and make it look as if santa has walked through the room to the christmas tree, Then just add a few twigs with leaves on from the garden so it looks like he had a bit of a struggle and bravo! This honestly made me so excited when i was little!

So happy for you and your little family, you always seem so happy in your videos and instagrams etc!
I've been watching your videos for a couple of years now and loooooooove them!! This may sound really silly but watching you and other youtubers videos has such a big impact on my life! I have an anxiety disorder and a couple of other issues in my life at the moment and sometimes it can get very, very hard. I've found over the last few years that the main distraction and escape from this is watching yours and others videos and reading your blogs. Theres just something about being able to pop onto youtube and just see familiar faces,(if you get what i mean?) its werid but its like a little separate world you can escape to where everyone’s happy and talks about makeup :):) I must be coming across like a complete weirdo, but i'm not I promise , I basically just wanted to say thank you so much for doing what you do, it really helps me and makes me happy! thank you again! Cant wait for more posts and vids :)
