Aloha Sprinklerinos,
It is that most spookiest of times once again and in true ghoulish style, Baby Glitter and I have had our own mini celebration.
As you can imagine, Halloween with a toddler is exactly bone chilling, it's more "Oohhhh let's put glitter on pumpkins and drink orange juice from jam jars!", but that suits me just fine. I'm never one for scares and jumps!
This year, I avoided traditional pumpkin carving and opted for a much less messy affair. I like to make life easy and so dotted nail polish on the big one, stuck gems on the medium one and poured glitter over the tiddler. If you haven't already seen in, I made THIS how to video for the glitter topped pumpkin- might be worth checking out for next year!
Or, you can watch it below:
I know us British folk don't go too gaga for Halloween but it is something we enjoy in our home and I plan to involve Baby Glitter in it every year. I think it brings a lot of merriment and whimsy and Autumn just isn't the same without it.
Do you do anything for Halloween? I'd love to hear your household traditions!
Toodlepip!
xx

ReplyDeleteCan't watch the video though :( wont work on my phone, internet is crappy! xxxx
Love this!! xx
ReplyDeleteAnd I have no real traditions - apart from our family/friends sometimes doing eachothers make up for halloween - we usually end up looking scary!! x
DeleteI didn't do much for Halloween this year, but I love the idea haha x

Happy Halloween! Love your decorated pumpkins. I don't really do much for Halloween, but I have been seeing so many halloween inspired tutorials that I may just have to start going a bit more gaga for it next year!

Love it! Such cute ways to decorate pumpkins x
ReplyDeleteLoving the jazzed up pumpkins! My mum has a couple of decorations she breaks out each year which makes it all festive, but other than that we don't do anything!
ReplyDeleteAva Tallulah
Ooo glamour pumpkins very cute. Personally I don't like celebrating a day of nastyiness where people dress up as devils and witches. I did let my toddler go to the halloween party at his nursery as I think it is important that he makes his own mind up. I also gave out sweets. I just popped them in a little bag with our church's youth magazine. I am very much "to each, their own" but halloween is not for me
ReplyDeleteThats so cute!:)

That's such a good idea! And not half as gross and messy haha x

We decorate the house, the little one drinks "pumpkin juice" (aka orange squash) out of a pumpkin cup and dresses up as about 5 different characters at one (this year she was witch-devil-vampire-bunny-cat).
ReplyDeleteIts just an excuse for me to light a load of candles, eat sweets and wear fairy wings :-D
So beautiful decorations... Very glamour ;o)... Have a great week end. Xoxo V.V.

I came across you one YouTube and immediately fell in love! I'm not a mother, I'm a 19 year old boy but I think you're hilarious!
I've been keeping up with your blog and Youtubes for months and I've told my brother's fiancée about you and she loves you too (who just had a baby girl, called Clementine), whenever we see eachother we love having a little gossip about your latest blog post or video! We even made some glittery pumpkins for little Clem's first halloween too!
I just watched your Huge Baby Clothes Haul video and everything was super cute! I bet Baby Glitter will love it all!
I hope you and Baby Glitter are well! She is so cute and gorgeous! I can see where she gets it!
Stay fab! X

Your pumpkin is glamorous. I adore it a lot. It may not fit the theme of the scary Halloween but still its still the best pumpkin ever.

This was such a creative idea and great for little ones that cannot really take part in carving pumpkins. This would have been great for my 2 year old since he doesn't even like to scoop out the gooey insides. Awesome idea Louise.
