Magnet Magic

The moment our new fridge for our new kitchen was unveiled from its cardboard box, I viewed it as a blank canvass, ready for shopping lists, postcards, pictures, photos and all the other bumf that ends up on our chilly notice boards. But what is the common denominator in all this fridge art? Magnets!!

On my Hobbycraft splurge I was literally drawn to the magnets (magnets by name, magnetic by nature!) and found some small circular magnets with an adhesive back and POP! and idea sprang to mind.

I decided to delve into my worryingly rather extensive button collection and attach them to the magnets to create a magton (magnet-button!)! It was incredibly simple to do, especially as the magnets already had an adhesive agent on them and required no glue.

This project is another that would be perfect to do with children, just be careful of the small pieces- chocking hazard, but for a zero mess creative 10 minutes, definitely worth considering.

So now I have the fridge accessories, all I need is the finished kitchen!

  1. So I'm going back and reading all your old post (that sounds slightly creepy when I type it out) and I am simply IN LOVE with this. I have an unhealthy obsession with buttons and this is a great way to take advantage of that.
