Affordable Fairy Lights

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

If you have ever watched any of my older videos, when I was recording in my boudoir, you will know that I am a HUGE fan of fairy lights. We have them in our room, Baby Glitter's room, the hallway and the lounge all year round. Come Christmas time and the house is lit up better than ... well, a very well lit thing!


Whilst I was mooching round pinterest I found some gorgeous floral fairy lights but the shop that sold them was out of stock- booo.

Never one to give up, I turned to my faithful friend, ebay. I found these gooorrgeous rose fairy lights for £6.99. They are 3 metres long so you'll get a good length (minds out of gutters please) and they come in 6 glowy colours. I can't tell you how much these kind of things excite me.


When Baby Glitter grows out of her cot (thinking ahead a bit I know) I'm planning on making that little corner of the room a reading nook with cushions, blankets and twinkle lights. For now though, I have bought some to drape round her book shelves.

To me, there is something really magical about fairy lights. They can add the finishing touch to any room

    I love them, but Nathan hates them :( He doesn't like anything remotely feminine. I just end up buying stuff and slowly add things to our rooms to make them nice and girly lol xx

    I adore fairy lights. We have some from ikea that just use batteries and they live in a glass bottle on our shelves. I love the twinkley twink of them!

    I love love love fairy lights. Whilst I don't have any in my room at the moment- halfway through decorating! I plan to get some to hang around my mirror as I think they are beautiful. Also, I love the idea of the little reading nook! If my room was bigger, I would definitely do that! :)

    These look gorgeous. Odd question but do you (or anyone else) have any tips for fixing fairy lights? I have this amazing set from a Garden Centre, and only four work on the end now. I know the circuit's probably gone but I can't bear to part with them! X

    ive been looking for some fairy lights for my room at uni next year for ages. they even featured on my wishlist (http://www.lifeandstyleofemily.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/wish-list.html) but all the ones i found were really expensive. these are much more affordable and just as nice so might have to snap some up before they sell out!

    I'm a lover of fairy lights too :), they're just so pretty and add a lovely touch to any room. I've always wanted some white/cream flower lights to hang on my bed but need to get a new bed frame first so may consider getting these once I have my new frame :) xx

    I love fairy lights! I think they make any room just suddenly seem a lot warmer and a lot more cosey. I have some white rose ones in my room, and they give off a really yellowy-greeny colour- which I love. I don't know where they are from as they were a Christmas gift but I think they were fairly cheap!

    Fairy lights are very much a girl thing I think as hubby hates them! I think they make a room look super cosy and much more welcoming. Those rose ones are lovely and such a great bargain.

    I love fairy lights ! I think they can turn any room a little more cozy :) you can even put them in the bathroom to have a romantic bath! :)

    Oo! Those are pretty! I wish I had some where in my room to string up lights. I used to eons and many rooms ago. But where I am now doesn't really have the option for fairy lights. But I do love them!

    So pretty, I was going to buy some a while ago before a friend kindly reminded me her fairy lights she bought in thailand BLEW UP! haha. Have to be so careful buying electricals from international sellers because of the different power supplies and safety testing in other countries xxx p.s.     Everyone loves fairy lights, and they are relatively cheap to run, especially the newer LED lights, so here are some great ideas on how you can enjoy fairy lights all year round, not just at Christmas.
