Aloha Sprinklerinos,
I love my life, I'll throw that out there right now. I have a great many things that I treasure and recognise that I am incredibly privileged. I have a gorgeous husband, a healthy happy daughter, own a lovely little house, am able to stay at home with the baby and live in a country where I have access to food and water and things that some poor folk dream of. So yes, I'm thankful.
Sometimes though, life becomes a bit of a cycle and things wear a little thin. That's not to say I'm not happy, just that sometimes you need a change of routine and a crazy day to let your hair down.
Weeeelllll, where better to run about like a loon, scream your head off and eat burgers and candy floss than a theme park?! Last Sunday, Matt and I went with our newlywed chums Clare and Mark to Alton Towers and had an absolute blast.
Since this is a lifestyle blog, and it is 7 minutes of fun, I thought I'd share the vlog with you on here and maybe you can have a break from the routine too and smile.
I'm a firm believer that change is as good as a holiday and a whole day of being a loon has cleared the cobwebs and I'm raring to go again!
What do you do to have a life break?
Toodlepip!
xx

I spend alot of time at home on my own so every so often I move the furniture around and it sounds silly but it makes everything feel fresh :) Feeling blue today so may have a shuffle. Excited for the video xxx

Looks like such a fun time. And you surely should be happy :D Happiness is great.
ReplyDeleteIf i want a break or something I often go to my mothers since she lives in the countryside. It's very peaceful there. Else amusement parks are always good :D
I just take a step back and relax. When I'm feeling a little run down I tend to pamper myself a lot; candles, spa treatment, massages, mani/pedi..you name it!

If there's one thing I wish I'd done in life Louise it's stay at home with Stacey instead of going to work. I was lucky enough to choose all those years ago and now I feel as though I made the wrong decision. I hate when stay at home mums complain about their 'boring' life day in day out so it's lovely when I read about how much you love being there for Darcy. Way to go name sister :D
ReplyDeletereally enjoyed your video xx

I've been to Alton Towers twice and had so much fun both times! I love the Vlog, it looks like a great day! Your friends seem to be lovely people :) I'm very jealous as I haven't been there for about five years (I live in Wales) and I'd love to go back! :) xx
ReplyDeleteI get sick of the same old routine too same thing different day! Sometimes me and my fiance just book a hotel somewhere and go spend the day someehere just going shopping, last month we went on one of those driving experience days which was a real thrill. Then heading back to the hotel to be wined and dined in the fancy restaurants. xo
ReplyDeleteLovely video! Ixx
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed this video Louise and love that you are so humble and appreciative of the little things in life. I agree with Gemma-Louise above its so precious to be able to take the time out from the mundane tasks of day to day life and just enjoy what you do have because there are so many people out there that don't have the opportunity to do so. We can all have a good moan but in the grand scheme of things its nice to sit back and reflect on the good things we do have.
