Urban Decay Spring Collection 2013

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

In terms of beauty products, I think this might just be my favourite time of year - Spring Collections galore! I'm an Autumn lover, winter warmers and cosy jumpers really do fill me with glee, but by the time February and March roll round, I'm looking forward to sunny skies, bright clothes and fun beauty products.

Never a brand to disappoint, Urban Decay have a selection of new releases (of which you can see the full set on Beauty Bay) and today I have a couple to share with you. Makeup flavoured fist pumps of joy!

Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette

I'm sure we are all familiar with the neutrals eyeshadow palette, well this is it's new baby sister, due to arrive this spring. With sturdy packaging, a good sized mirror and three fabulous shades to enable you to achieve the perfect blush, bronze and highlight trio, you have all bases covered. Look out for this featured in a future FOTD (face of the day, if you're new) or full review. With it's £20 price tag, I have high hopes.

Urban Decay Ammo Palette

The Ammo is an old favourite, brought back again with the same ten colours but reformulated pigments. The colours are Urban Decay's top ten sellers, neatly encased in a lightweight, revamped, cardboard palette. I have previously owned the flocked palette and used it until I had touched pan on every single shade. I LOVED that little palette so to have a new one in my mitts is simply thrilling.

Oil Slick is one of the blackest blacks I have ever used, wet or dry, and Polyester Bride makes such a fantastic inner corner/brow bone highlighter that I actually purchased it in it's singular potted form when the palette ran out. Sin and Maui Wowie make for great all over colours and Chopper looks superb on blue eyes. All the shades have such brilliant colour pay off and fabulous wearing duration.

The only (and I'm clutching at straws here) negatives to this product would be the packaging doesn't click shut (it's magnetic) so it's not one you can easily throw into the deep dark depths of your handbag and also, if you absolutely detest shimmer/frost hues, this might not suit. I on the other hand relish a bit o' shimmer so have no complaints in this department! Retailing for £23 (£5 less than the original ammo and that one comes sans primer potion!), I think that is a snip for the amount of use I know you will get out of this item and urge you to add it to your wishlist!

Talking of wishlists, I think I've just added THIS palette to mine! Dagnamit!!

What do you think? Do these little beauties excite you? What else have you tried and loved from Urban Decay? I'm open to all recommendations!

  6. I love my Naked and Naked2 so much and was so tempted to get the new basics but decided not to since I have the first two. Love their primer potion as well. The ammo palette is so pretty I might have to pick that up. I'm intrigued by the flushed palette but I'm scared to try it since I normally don't wear bronzer, blush or highlight but I really want to give it a go. Is it worth trying?

  12. I want to try the new naked blush bronze at the top, I have quite a few palettes now but urban decay can be a pain for putting the same colours in a few of their palettes but not in the vice palette no sir ee bob, you get 20 brand new shades which I love and u get a mix of neutral and colour so that is my fave I think xxxx

  128. I am thinking about getting the Flushed palette but am so pale and am worried it will pull orangish (if that's a word) on my skin.I do most my shopping online so when i order I'm stuck with it because I won't send it back to much hassle.Does anyone know if the bronzer is at all orange looking undertone? I am really fair so it is so important I stay away from bronzers like Sunny from NYC or Rimmel Natural Bronzer.I lovE MY NYX bronzer because it isn't orange but it looks a bit muddy on my skin right now should be fine during the summer. Thanks if anyone answers. I have a blog nothing big I just did a post on The Metal collection from Maybelline color tattoos if anyone is interested stop by (hope2nou) thanks have a great day.If I get some interest in my blog I will post more often I am new to blogging but am anxious to please any subbies. 130. I have all 3 UD NAKED palettes! They are all amazing! I have been quite skeptical about the Flushed palette, but I think i'll have to swatch it! I also really like UD's BB Cream & Big fatty mascara and their primer is the best.
