Aloha Sprinklerinos,
What Mummy can have a super trip to America and not come back with lovely goodies for the cutest toddler in town? Not this one that's for sure.
Over the course of the trip I picked up a few bits and bobs (she was also kindly gifted some by viewers) and I tell you, it was like Christmas had come again when I brought her in to show her them!
Now, I get that this is a touch excessive, but I couldn't help it. I don't go away too often so it was nice to have a splurge and treat her. I don't think I'll ever want to stop. Also, My Little Pony's were under $3 and that's just crazy street.
The funfetti stuff is for her birthday this weekend. I've heard so much about funfetti that I just had to give it a whirl. It seems very novel and cool, who wouldn't want sprinkles in their cake??
So far, the little tiny Barbie sisters are her favourites, she's been clutching them for days! I'm holding the big Barbie back for a while (too much too soon) and that purple bouncy ball flashes when you throw it- best $1 I've ever spent!!
Do you see any childhood favourites? Any tips for funfetti cake?
Toodlepip!
xx
Does the UK not have funfetti?!Oh man, you guys have been missing out. I am about to live in a third world country for two years and have massively considered packing this wonderful frosting for those homesick days.

The My Little Ponies are so sweet! I've never heard of funfetti before, is it just colouful sprinkles like hundreds and thousands? If you made a white cake and sprinkled them throughout the batter, that would look really cool. Or just sprinkled them on top. Hope she has a great birthday!

ReplyDeleteThis post is so lovely, I would have loved to see Baby Glitter's face! Barbie's were my absolute favourite things, then as I got older it turned into Bratz, ha ha. I just love Barbie, even now - anything pink, fluffy, blonde, cute? I'm there.

Lots of love Louise, you hot mama ❤

I loved those mini Barbie's when I was little. I even had the first generation that came out in 1995. And I always had Funfetti at my birthday when I was little. But they changed the matching frosting. It used to be white, with these weird, balls of sprinkles all mixed in.

ReplyDeleteOmg you're so lovely, I always read aloha in your voice heh:)
ReplyDeleteglitterandgossip.blogspot.co.uk
You could make fairy bread with the funfetti. It sounds a bit gross but everyone had it as a kid in New Zealand :)
ReplyDeletehttp://www.food.com/recipe/fairy-bread-39337
Mhmm funfetti is such an American birthday tradition.
ReplyDeleteYou can make it again after the box is gone by adding sprinkles into the cake batter. Just add in a handful at the last minute before pouring into the pan/cups. Barely give it a swirl just so the colors don't bleed. Bake and voila! Funfetti sans box. To do the icing you just buy the round disk shaped sprinkles and stir them into the frosting.
So bright and colorful!

With a baby/toddler as cute as yours I'm sure it's impossible to ward off the spoiling tendencies! I think it's super wise that you're giving them to her in bunches, I know when I'm going to have a child, I'll probably spoil them rotten. >< I need to take some early cues from you. =D Oh, Happy early birthday Baby Glitter!! Funfetti is absolutely *delicioussssss*
